Impressive

“Most impressive”. Darth Vader
Very powerful app. Anyone dealing with color has to have this app.

Response from developer

Thank you

Excellent!

Please consider making a proper Mac-native version — should become popular IMO.
Thank you!

Not intuitive

I would likely give this app a higher rating if I could figure out how to use it. It is not at all intuitive, and the instructions are unclear. It would help, I am sure if I were expert in colors, but for those of us who aren’t it is a mystery how to use the app.

No privacy policy

Update 11/23/20:
I respect what you’re doing, but there’s a link to this app’s website in the description. If you can’t make a privacy statement there, then a sign, graphic, hint...

Apple’s already indicated that all app must have a policy page eventually, so considering that and the app site, it didn’t seem like I was attacking you personally.

Still, there’s no denying that privacy and security are valid issues that must be regarded with scrutiny, when installing things on these complex computers that we keep in our pockets.

I’m an old school computer guy and this not something I can just have blind faith in. I think that as a programmer that you can understand my point

Either way, good luck and✌🏼

Older review:
I’d love to try this app, but the privacy policy doesn’t seem to exist. The link from the App Store is dead, and there is no link to it from the dev’s website.

I can’t run this without knowing what it’s doing, behind the scenes

If the dev fixes the link and makes their privacy policy visible, then I’ll change my review. Without it, I can’t run the app and can not recommend it.

No ipad support

Must work in portrait mode with iphone sized window. Ugghhh!!

Response from developer

Starting with iPadOS 15 you will be able to run the app landscape.

It knows it’s colors.

Colors.....and how!
I tried blue- green, nailed it.
I tried green- blue, can’t stump this app.
Got every one right!
Idk about infrared and ultraviolet, but I trust it.
Amazing!

Won’t open🤷‍♀️

Downloaded this yesterday and it will not open. Never had this issue before and two others that downloaded it yesterday were ok. Any advice?

Response from developer

Were you running your phone in zoomed mode? I found the problem and the app is now fixed.

Hard to navigate!

This is not user friendly! So I’m deleting it.
The concept is good but the app is hard to understand and navigate!

How to use

Downloaded great . Now how to use!? Not very easy to figure out. Create YouTube video

Response from developer

Help is under the question mark. Thanks to your feedback I’ve updated the app so first time users go directly to Help when they start the app. Also they will have a sample palette created for them so that they can play with palettes.

Best color management app I’ve found - love it!

Color Query Pro is easily the best color management app I’ve found - and frequent updates add features constantly.

Response from developer

Thank you.

Great tool if you work with colors

Since my device is too old to run iOS 13, some buttons are now invisible due to some incompatibility. But it’s still a great tool and I will keep using it.

Response from developer

I appreciate that. I used the new icons in the current SDK. Apparently they don’t show up in iOS 12. I was lead to believe they were backward compatible. Sorry about that. Thanks for your feedback. I just got an iPhone 11 and I love it. Colors look great. Worth the upgrade.

FIXED NOW!: Version 3.3 user interface problem

UPDATE: THESE PROBLEMS ARE FIXED! 🤗 The screen which includes RGB/HSB/CMYK sliders is problematic. In CMYK mode the text “Color Query Pro” occluded three of the percentage readouts. The sliders at far left (R) and far right (K) are very difficult to adjust because they are too close to the edge of the screen.

Excellent, useful application

I often need to match colors for website themes. This app make the process immensely easier.
