Great app, great developers who support legacy purchases
Years ago, these developers were among the first to recognize the glaring omission of a color picker in certain note taking applications (cough, Goodnotes) and rectified it with this comprehensive color picker app that extends far beyond note taking to everyday life. I use this for note taking, paint projects—anything under the sun. It’s great to see how far they’ve come with the app, AND they have the integrity to continue providing support for those of us who bought the app early. That’s one of many reasons why I recommend the app, even if you’re just discovering it now. Beyond the everyday usefulness of the app itself, you want to support developers you can trust. With these ColorSlurp developers, trust and respect is something you can count on.

Hi! Thank you so much for supporting ColorSlurp early, that truly means a lot! Your original one-time Pro purchase should still unlock Pro. In ColorSlurp’s settings, open the Pro tab and click the "Restore Purchase" button (just make sure you’re signed into the same Apple ID you used when you bought it). If that doesn’t unlock Pro, please email us at contact@ideapunch.com and we’ll help get it sorted out!
Paid for Pro, not doing a subscription
A great app, and I bought Pro early when I didn’t have to because I wanted to support you guys. So here’s my question: what are you going to do for people who supported your team early and bought Pro? I’m not doing a subscription for something I already paid for. A yearly fee may be fine for new purchasers—that’s up to them to them—but as for those of us who bought Pro early, THAT was assumed to be our “one-time purchase”, and you certainly didn’t dissuade us from that notion. The least you can do is is maintain legacy features for longtime Pro purchasers (you know—the features we already paid for), and if that’s what you’re doing, then I’ll humbly delete my review, change back to 5-stars, and go back to singing ColorSlurp’s praises as I’ve done for the past 5 years. But if you’re going to follow the dishonest developer trend of paywalling features that we’ve already paid for and then giving us the canned line about “not expecting a lifetime of updates for free” (which is NOT what we’re asking for; we’re asking for the software we paid for to function as originally packaged at time of sale), then I’m out. I really hope that’s not the case, though, because I’ve always liked your app and your team.

Amazing tool!
I use everyday for work, but I wish you guys have a lifetime license. I have way too much subscriptions to keep track of.
$20/year to export a palette? Absurd.
$20/year to export the colors I already picked myself? ColorSlurp used to be a great, no-nonsense utility and now it's chasing subscription revenue for no reason.
Uninstalling and finding an alternative that doesn't paywall a basic export button. Huge fan over the years soured by their greed.

Currently unusable
I have been using ColorSlurp for years and it has been great — no fault or problems whatsoever. However, since the most recent update, the programme is slow, colours disappear and the the UI just doesn’t work.

Why is this a subscription?
While the app itself is handy, I have to ask, why am I paying a subscription for an app that hasn’t been updated in 2 years?

Je regrette juste le silence absolu du support qui répond strictement à aucune question ou suggestion d’amélioration. Je viens de leur écrire une 4ème fois avec les mêmes questions, je reviendrai ici retirer mon commentaire s’ils me répondent bien entendu ! Sinon l’app fait le job, même si on peut trouver aussi bien et gratuit (mais sans cloud).

Color Picker
Great tool to pick any colour. Thanks to developer, it would much best if it free, some features need to be paid to used it.
Works great!
ColourSlurp is accurate and global on the Mac, so I can use it on any browser or app and at any time. Best one I’ve used.
Needs Updating
Used to be great. I was part of the newer beta in TestFlight but that appears to have fizzled out. Would love for the dev to continue working on it but doesn’t seem to be the case at the moment.

Funktioniert wie es sein soll. Die Möglichkeit verschiedene Paletten anzulegen ist super. Jedes Projekt bekommt eine eigene Palette und alles ist sauber getrennt und schnell einsetzbar.
Awesome Name
This works as a free color picker app, of which there are thousands. If you want any features you’ll need to pay twenty dollars a year. How could anyone feel that charging a subscription for any sort of color picker app is okay? There are no servers to run or security patches to deploy. It’s just greed and it’s offensive.

Great, easy-to-use universal eyedropper tool.
I use this all the time for creative work across platforms, where color picking would otherwise require opening up menus and copying over hex codes. Excellent, well, designed, and unobtrusive.
Pro's choice
I make mobile and web apps and ColorSLUUURRRP has become my tool of choice for grabbing colors on MacOS.
Useless on iPad
I would give this zero stars if possible. There is no way to pick a color directly from your iPad screen You can only pick a color from one of your photos. So the only option would be to 1) screen shot what you need, 2) save it as a photo and 3) pick the color from the photo. This would be the stupidest work flow of all time.
