Hoping for a new update

It’s been a year since this app has been updated; I hope the developer would continue developing this app which has great potential...

For years, I’ve tried many Comics Collection app, and Comicsland comes close to being the perfect app for it.
Still have some flaws though, such as:

- crashes randomly... added issues would not be added, covers and even Publishers Logo will just disappear.
- Bug in Adding comics... the dialog box with options to add it to (owned/ordered/wish list...) doesn’t appear all the time, sometimes you’ll see the bottom of the box.... finally figured out that I need to scroll at the topmost page before the dialog box will appear properly. (A hassle if you’re adding issues way at the bottom of the list)
- sometimes some cover images don’t show.
- searching issues need to be improved. Ie., Action Comics have 900+ issues. If I want to add issues 902-910, I’ll have to scroll a looooong time to reach it. and then sometimes the app crashes after all that effort. :/
- Backup function is faulty; does not have a “backup now” button after selecting folder. or there is no “backup finished” message.
- Wishlist: subfolders with ability to manually input and organise them would be nice. (For example, I want to be able to put subfolders for DC...Golden Age, Silver Age, post Crisis, New 52, DC Rebirth)

Still, despite the bugs and flaws, I will stick to this app because it still lets me do what I want. The access to comic vine’s database is great. I’ve see other apps expect you to input all the details (writer/artist etc) manually . How are you supposed to do that with hundreds or thousands in your collection...

Great app

I tried several other similar apps to this one and they were all disappointing. This app is easy to use and has great features. It dose have some flaws though. It crashes when searching sometime. This app has a lot of potential for growth.

New comic database app has potential to be great!

I did not know what I was going to get with a free comic database app but I am pleased with it. I liked the layout and the info for each comic and I can find pretty much any comic to add. Some room for improvement though: There are some major bugs that need worked on. The app crashes a lot when searching. Scanning barcodes only worked on the graphic novels and not on the individual comics "direct sale" barcode. Need a better search engine because cannot search by issue # or by sub title. It crashes when expanding search. Can't wait to see the bugs get worked out because it's full of potential. Will rate again w next update.
