Commercial student
Took my CAX written today I was really excited because I had studied/prepared a lot using this software. I was consistently getting 90/96/95/92/90 on my practice tests ( I took 1 a day for a week straight) along with spending hours studying every question in flash card and study mode. There wasn't a question in the softwares bank I didn't know or couldn't complete the math to find the answer. I was embarrassed when I went to my testing facility got endorsed by my instructor only to walk into the room and find half to 3/4's of the questions on the test were no where in this softwares bank. I barley passed with a 77 out of 100. Embarrassing!!! Especially after all the hard work and studying I put in utilizing this program. I wouldn't waste my money on this software again I'd definitely go with something else.

Passed first time
The questions and explanations for right and wrong answers.
Works great but
I used Study buddy for my private and it was great. This one is too, I just wish part 91 tests were split into two or three tests. 90 questions is a lot if you want to memorize via repetition I think 30 questions would be best
Buggy
This app would be ok if it didn't crash half the time I opened it.
Wish it saved
The app works awesome for learning the questions and seeing the diagrams inline. I have enjoyed studying with it. However, it doesn't remember anything so you have to keep up with where you are on your own. Don't bother marking questions either because it will forget them as soon as you leave the section.

Great way to pass test
Let's be honest the FAA knowledge tests are a complete waste of time. There is nothing in the written test that will make me a safer pilot. So the goal is to pass the written and get onto the flight training. I used the sportys app this way: I selected "Learning Mode". I took the quizzes. If I missed a question, I simply continued to the end of that section. I graded the test. And then I retook the test with any missed questions. I repeated that if necessary until I got 100% correct. And it doesn't take very long. I did this the 3 weeks before the test. It prolly took 5-8 hours, but in small batches of time. 4 days before the test I did this again. Made 78%.

Commercial test prep
This would be a great app if I could see the map figures on my I Pad. They are very blurred. Magnification does not help.
Good Prep
Layout and interface are good. Ability to select individual test sections is good. Bad - no way to record progress.
Buggy app
This app has good questions, but each time I grade a test It show answers i have correct as wrong. Not impressed for the money, better spent on dauntless software
Not Bad
This app is not bad. It basically contains the test battery from the FAA and allows you to review them in test or "study" mode. I would like to see better explanations for the answers including appropriate references to outside reading in order to brush up on topics that you don't do well on (e.g. "see Airplane Flying Handbook Chapter 4" or " see 14 CFR Part 61.3" etc.). I seem to remember that the Gleim products have this feature and it was very helpful.
