Thorough Understanding of the Voice

This book has been an absolute game changer for me as a singer! I've taken vocal lessons and performed in front of audiences, but I always found myself relying on a hodgepodge of visualizations and sensations to produce the sounds I needed. Then, I stumbled upon this incredible book recommended by some amazing folks on YouTube, and it completely transformed my understanding of singing! It clarified everything I had been doing and revealed so many new insights I never even knew existed. The clear explanations of what’s happening in your voice, paired with examples from various genres, are just brilliant! I can’t recommend this book highly enough—whether you’re just starting out or have some experience singing, this resource is simply fantastic!

Great content, UX not so much

It is unfortunate that the institute decided to replace ebooks with their app. It seems like a walled garden to protect their content but in effect it is hard to work with it. One example: the app has a bookmark feature that also allows one to take notes - but I can not share these notes with my other apps that I use for note taking. Also basic features like dark mode and text selection do not work.

Absolutely amazing information

I never give reviews but the information in this course is so unbelievable, I am recommending this to anyone who wants to sing. It is like a singing guide 101. If you follow it correctly, you will be able to sing all the songs you find difficult. The songs of the greats! Love love love it and I’m so grateful for it because I no longer feel the need to endlessly pay vocal coaches to do exercises that are not getting me where I need to be. Especially where the coaches can’t demonstrate the sounds I want to make. This course has EVERY vocal style you could want 🥰

Perfect for self taught! Record yourself too!!

I use a lot of YouTube video vocal lessons, I won’t plug them here because it seems inappropriate but they’re easy to find. There’s something about how CVT approaches the voice and different modes that really has helped me place my voice in appropriate places. Personally there’s maybe one or two rules you can bend. You might have to be a little advanced to know when to break the rules laid out, (I’m an ex theater kid) but if you’re brand new, the rules laid out in this course are the healthiest and safest. I love the layout and have no issues with any of that! The print is large enough to read but not so large it’s obnoxious. The pictures and graphs are very detailed. I think the app is very well designed and very visually appealing. This is the first purchase I’ve made towards self teaching singing, because there’s a lot of free stuff out there. But, this is about the same price of one vocal lesson, but will give you months if not more that you can takeaway and perfect. Don’t forget to record yourself practicing!!

Not well organized

Sadly I try to get my head around on how to get my studies organized but the app is too choppy and hard to follow a topic without having to jump from a chapter to another loosing track of the essence of the practice. I kindly wish a refund as I’m not using it.

Very Detailed

This is an amazing book! So far the methods have helped me progress my voice more than any youtube video. However, there are times when it gets really wordy. I wish the voice demos showed the voice through the scale so I could hear the changes the singer makes from the lower notes to the higher.
I wish it was laid out a little clearer as well. I think the density section isn’t an independent variable so mentioning it does get confusing.
The PDF’s dont allow exiting once you enter & there is no print option.
If you could make a section that simplified all the modes (how to achieve it, how to grow the center of the modes, some practice exercises relevant to the mode ) and had vocal demos for each of the vowels going up the scale, it would help me and lots of other singers out a lot!
Simple DOs to each mode as well would be great - not as a summary section of what it is etc. but you’ll know you’re in the mode if you feel a sensation in spot A...

It’s very detailed and somewhat hard to follow but an amazing approach to singing!!

Super méthode avec de nombreux exercices pour travailler sa voix
Une référence qui reprend tous les chapitres du livre en vente sur internet !
Dommage qu’il n’y ait pas encore la traduction française alors que le livre a lui bien été traduit...

Good App, but missing translations

I am very happy with this tool.
But would be amazing to have this app in different languages (german).

Amazing app, well worth the money.

I would love to give feedback. I think it would be amazing if there was a feature where you could save/bookmark the audio clips or exercises you are focusing on. As the app has so much info it is best to work on certain chapters at a time.

Scientific and thorough

This book seems to me a very scientific approach to singing, a lot of things that have been confusing to me during all these years of singing have been well explained here. Recommended for singing nerds like me. It would be nice if you can add a bookmark, note taking feature, maybe a customized sound library for building one's own program.
