This app just doesn’t work. I don’t know what to do, and I agree with the one review that has been displayed that it doesn’t even download properly. I’m sorry to say to you that whoever uses this app next is probably going to delete the app quickly.
Songtive vs. Piano Companion
So... As I was looking up chords on the Internet, I found a site that advertised a piano chord app (I had never heard of such a thing before). The app? Piano Companion. So, I quickly downloaded the app, which had other features too: a virtual piano, chord dictionary, etc. I had also seen Songtive advertised on the same website (being made by the same developer as Piano Companion), advertised as being the "improved" version of Piano Companion. Without paying much attention to Piano Companion, I downloaded Songtive. I looked at it and realized it had a feature similar to GarageBand: you can create songs and drumbeats (Piano Companion didn't have that)! I was excited, and tried it out on the bus. To my dismay, it said I needed an account (which was free to make, but needed WiFi). So, I made an account at home, and tried it out on the bus again. I was able to sign in, but I realized that the WHOLE app needed WiFi, not just the "share a song that you made" part. So, I went back to Piano Companion. I found an extensive chord dictionary, which was very helpful. Also, there's a button to show "only common chords" (there's some pretty weird ones in the dictionary). And best of all, none of it needed WiFi! I now have deleted Songtive and use Piano Companion only for all my chords. My advice: get Piano Companion, even though you can't make songs on it. It's so much better!

Best effort in it's category, No classical music notation or 1-month subscription model
I find this to be the best effort out there for musical composition. However Apple App Store lists a 1-month subscription offer of 99p, which is not available in the app! Also this app becomes pretty useless in a broader sense if you can't compose in a classical music notation system. Add these features and I'd gladly pay even a longer term subscription plan.

Has potential, but not there yet
This app has potential to be a very useful tool for rapidly prototyping songs by quickly arranging blocks of chords. However, the user interface is too clunky at the moment, it gets in the way and slows down the process rather than facilitating it.
Won't save midi
Every time I go to save my midi file it won't let me save it. I paid 13.99 for the pro version to help support the makers of this app and this is the thanks I get?

Make your app more polished before start marketing on Twitter. Two star for the app quality, minus one for marketing.

Lacks ease of use and good presets, but I can see this app being awesome for beginners to advanced musicians.
Imagine you have this chord progression and want to expand on it. Am to F to C then G. And you want to hear different arpeggios at the click of a button to see what style fits right as your picking chords. Perhaps a 4/4 guitar arp, or a 6/8 slow arp. Pick inversions.
It can do all that, but takes much effort. Need a few good solid presets, and easier and faster to use. This app has potential, just needs to be cleaned up and make it more user friendly.

good start
This first version is a good start but limited. I am looking forward to improved UI in future versions and see how this app evolves. Please be specific in product description about what features are included in basic version vs. pro upgrade.
