Avoid - skips trades routinely
Traded less than 10 times over the course of a month after transferring $30k into it. 2 times composer did not execute the change in the next change window (which is already a lag since it only happens at the end of the day). It cost me $100s. The lack of control you have over trade timing is genuinely concerning. Support is terrible and took days to reply after confirming they skipped trades. I immediately liquidated my funds and transferred out. I recommend you stay away. Too many other options out there to deal with this trash.

Casual investor
I don’t gamble often but when I do it’s poker not day trading. (More fun). Composer offers a place for me where I (the casual long investor) can do copycat or easily utilize AI with my own parameters, instead of institutional research departments and the fees associated with managed accounts. I m trying it for a bit to see how it goes. Lots of etf going on by AI here.

Easy to signup and onboard. Pretty simple to use and already up money 👍. Very trustworthy now that they are affiliated with SoFi

I thought it was 40$ to try but the app charged me like 250 for a year membership even after I cancelled. There is no assistance either so I could not get my money back, everything is ai. Zero real human customer service. Even responding to their response just takes me to generic faq. Doesn’t seem to perform any better than traditional avenues, stay away from this scam . I can’t imagine how much I’d lost . I only put 500 in and I’m down to 319. Figured I’d keep my money in and see if it grows since they would refund me. lol just keeps shrinking. This apps a joke and no support/ docs or community behind it

Like some of the other feedback, they bait you by depositing $50 THEN tell you to pay $32 a month to use their service and your money is trapped in limbo for 6 business days before you can think about withdrawing it. Then when you go to pull it out, it’s not functional and you have to contact support.

When there are subscriptions required in order to use an app, the app should NOT make you deposit before mentioning the cost. I deposited $50 to try this out and didn’t find out there was a $32/mo subscription required until after the deposit. That is a shady practice and it should be (likely is) not legal.
Now I have to wait for six business days to withdraw my deposit. I know $50 is not much but just imagine how many people are falling into this trap and giving this company free money on their books for a week at a time for absolutely nothing.
Steer clear of apps like this in my opinion.

Fraud
Fraudulent service, doesn’t respond to service question wont allow me to with draw or close account… Do not use!
Don’t get your hopes up!
There was no advantage using this app over the other regular investment apps. They do charge $30-40 a month and have a long listed fee sheet. Once you decide Composer isn’t worth it and you want to close your account, they make it extremely difficult. I eventually contacted my bank to close the auto-draft option because I was getting the runaround with the app.

This app just stopped working about 15 mins ago, right before market close on Jan 9th. Unbelievable! Apps like these need to be DEPENDABLE, at the least!
Can’t setup 2-factor verification
Support is unavailable. There’s no one to respond. I’ve pinged using the app atleast 3-4 times. They don’t have phone support. How is one to reach the company? (Presuming there is one)

Simple to use
I have never been all that good at investing and keeping up with market trends. I was skeptical at first because the yearly subscription is a bit of an investment but I made my money back within the first 2 weeks. This does make sense if you are circulating larger amount of funds. I think if youre investing less than 2k then it may not be worth it but anything over than that is easy money. I just choose the newer symphonies that have ratios that I can agree with and thats it, I have never lost and its been 6months. With 8 k I have made 1.9k in the 6 months. I tell everyone about this app.
