Conceptly: Daily Knowledge

Learn the ideas behind things you notice every day. Why do we stick with decisions that aren’t working? What makes a colour shimmer? When does an ordinary object become art? Conceptly explains more than 1,000 concepts across six subjects: Philosophy, Natural World, Economics, History, Numbers & Patterns, and Arts & Literature. WHY CONCEPTS? These are ideas for you to reuse: mental maps for recognizing patterns, questioning assumptions and making sense of the world. They aren't another endless list of meaningless trivia or funny but useless vocabulary. UNDERSTAND THE IDEA Start with a short definition. Read on for a concrete example, where the idea came from and why it matters. Follow links to related concepts and sources. LEARN FROM YOUR LOCK SCREEN Put a new concept where you’ll see it throughout the day. Tap to explore it when you have a moment. TEST YOURSELF ON YOUR HOME SCREEN See a definition and try to remember the concept. Tap to reveal the answer, or switch to Show Me mode to display it straight away. CHECK WHAT YOU REMEMBER Take short quizzes that draw on the concepts you save and explore. The more you use the app, the better it understands what you're interested in. MAKE IT YOURS Choose your subjects and how often concepts appear. Save favourites and browse the collection whenever you like. SUBSCRIPTION Conceptly offers an annual subscription.
