About
A closed abbey. A brotherhood divided. And heresy hiding in plain sight.
Condemn the Heretic is a social deduction game set in a medieval monastery. Most of the brothers are faithful. They keep their duties: lighting the candles, copying the manuscripts, tending the garden. One or two are secretly heretics, working to turn the house. Ring the bell, call the council, say what you saw, and vote. Condemn the right brother and the abbey is saved. Condemn the wrong one and the heretic walks free.
PLAY WITH FRIENDS
• Private rooms for up to 8, joined with a short code. No accounts.
• Computer brothers fill the empty seats, so a small group can play.
• Four ways to play: Classic, Confession, The Hours and Spiritual Battle.
• Parish night sets up a simple first game, with a script for the host to read aloud. Family night keeps chat to ready-made lines and the verdict gentle.
PLAY ALONE
• Practice offline against seven computer brothers, as one of the faithful or as the heretic.
• The novice's story: three nights and two mysteries at St. Anselm Abbey, ending in a night against Arius himself. Answer his claim before his song turns the brothers.
• Tonight's vigil: one night a day, the same for everyone.
• The casebook: twelve short cases to solve.
THREE HOUSES
St. Anselm Abbey, the Riverside Priory with its river and mill, and the Hilltop Monastery with its bell tower. Each has its own rooms, secret passages and alarm.
MADE WITH CARE
• No ads. No tracking. No accounts. The game asks only for a nickname.
• Free.
• Made by Compline Games, an independent studio in Colorado. The heresies are real history, and the answers are the Church's own.
