About

Confidant is a private diary that talks back — in its own voice, on your page, never as a chat bubble. Write freely, and when it feels right, Confidant offers a short, thoughtful line in return: a gentle question, or simply an observation grounded in what you just wrote. It's not a therapist and never pretends to be — just a quiet presence that helps you go a little deeper. Everything happens on your device. Confidant runs entirely on Apple's on-device Intelligence — nothing you write is ever sent to a server, logged, or used to train anything. No account, no sign-up, no ads, no analytics. Just you and the page. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Face ID or Touch ID locks your diary • Incognito mode: write off the record, and it's gone the moment you turn it off • Zero cloud storage — your words never leave your phone A DIARY THAT LISTENS • Gentle, specific follow-ups grounded in what you actually wrote — never generic "How does that make you feel?" prompts • Turn off follow-ups anytime if you'd rather write in silence PATTERNS, HONESTLY EARNED • After enough entries across enough days, Confidant shows what keeps recurring — moods, themes, when you tend to write • No pattern is shown before there's real signal behind it Confidant requires a device with Apple Intelligence enabled.

Every page has been redrawn as a spiral-bound notebook, with ruled lines, a margin rule, and a coil binding down the edge. You and the diary, side by side. What you write and what the diary writes back now sit in their own softly tinted boxes, each in its own handwriting. New handwriting. Your words appear in Kalam, a bold, grounded hand. The diary replies in Lora italic. A notebook throughout. Library, Patterns, Sanctuary, the lock screen and onboarding all match. Still private. Everything stays on your device.
