Confront is a daily journal for your goals and values, built on Objectivism.
Each morning Confront asks what one thing you will finish today, which of your values it serves, and what will get in the way. At night it asks whether you did it, whether the obstacle turned up, and what you refused to look at. Every week, month and year gets a review that reads those days back.
HOW IT WORKS
- Morning: one outcome, the value it serves, and an if-then plan for the obstacle. Free, every day.
- Midday: are you working on the outcome you set this morning?
- Evening: did the obstacle turn up, did you follow your own rule, and what did you avoid?
- Weekly review: what got done, what did not, and whether the fault was the plan or you. Then next week's three outcomes.
- Monthly and annual reviews: what got done, what did not, what to drop, and the strategy for the next one.
Each value you name keeps a count of the days that served it, so you can see which parts of your life are getting your hours.
Set targets for your goals, choose daily actions and record results. Values, goals and actions are free.
LIFE HORIZON
Choose a lifespan for planning. See days, weeks, months or years remaining, with one cell for each 1% lived and a countdown to the next percentage point. The in-app tracker is free. This is a planning estimate based on the lifespan you choose.
THE IDEAS BEHIND IT
- 86 concepts from Objectivism, each written out in plain English
- 12 collections, including The First Thirty Days: one concept a day, with a question to act on
- Quotes from Ayn Rand and Aristotle, each with its book, its year and who says the line
- 19 comparison sessions that set the philosophy next to Stoicism, Kant, Marx, Nietzsche, effective altruism and the wellness industry
WHERE YOUR WRITING LIVES
There is no account and no sign-in. Every answer is saved on your iPhone, and Profile exports the whole journal as a file you keep.
One feature is the exception, and it is off until you turn it on: the mentor sends the day you ask about to an AI service to write its reply. Device backups follow your Apple settings; cross-device journal sync is not included.
