This application allows you to identify stars, constellations, and planets simply by pointing your device towards the sky. It provides names for celestial objects and can display those below the horizon. You can also check the orbital positions of planets within the solar system on a dedicated screen.
You can display the names of approximately 100 bright stars, constellations, the ecliptic, celestial equator, Deep Sky Objects, the ISS, and the Celestial pole. The app also offers features to toggle the display of constellation lines and names.
The application is free to download and use, but it does include in-app purchases and advertisements. This allows for optional enhancements or removal of ads for a more streamlined experience.
You can easily enlarge or reduce the display by using a two-finger pinch operation, spreading to zoom in and narrowing to zoom out. Additionally, a double touch on the screen allows you to toggle the display or non-display of constellation lines and names.
This app is designed for anyone interested in learning about the night sky, including amateur astronomers, students, and casual stargazers. It makes identifying celestial bodies and understanding their positions in the sky accessible to a broad audience.
