Text formatting is broken

This is a great app. I’ve used it for ages and I’m happy with it. And when I reported a small problem with the formatting they responded with a fix immediately. Awesome service.

Response from developer

Thank you for writing — we replaced the text rendering system to address performance issues responsible for layout inconsistencies some users reported in v1.8.2. If you update and still see anything unexpected, please reach out directly and we will investigate.

Why no Declaration?

Where’s the Declaration of Independence? That would bump it up immediately.

Otherwise, I love that the pictures have been included.

Response from developer

That was previously available as a separate app but is no longer supported. For newer devices, please consider one of our USA Manual apps that includes the Declaration of Independence along with other historical documents like the Federalist Papers, Articles of Confederation, landmark Supreme Court Cases, and much more.

Freedom of speech?

Looks like the update left freedom of speech out of the first amendment. Maybe it’s just my phone, but maybe they should proofread it.

A Good App Turned Bad

I’ve had this app on my phone for many years now and it was a regular reference and most useful when I could screen shot and share actual language. Now that the pages scroll left to right and not up and down I can no longer achieve this and the app is no value to me.

Required Reading

How can I share this fantastic app with the White House? They seem to have lost their copy.

Doesn’t work

1776 will commence again, kill your local government supporters

Good read

Every single person in America should have this app on their phone and study what our forefathers wrote for us to keep sacred. Americans should have the bill of rights memorized completely and correctly.

no copy option

can not copy the text. otherwise pretty good, notes on amendments are interesting.

This is Not the Constitution

What you have on your app is not the constitution it’s your interpretation. In the constitution this is what is stated in the actual document “The President must be a natural-born U.S. citizen, at least 35 years old, and a resident of the U.S. for at least 14 years.” Stating or a US Citizen is not what the constitution actually says. Take your liberal App and shove it.

Response from developer

Kindly consult with the United States National Archives to see that the app's content is consistent with the official version.

Can’t copy or paste

Useless

Indispensable reference--Full text of US Constitution

Provides plain original text of all Articles and Amendments in a simply organized interface, plus ratification histories. Easier to carry around than my old worn pocket paperback copy!

Navigation issues

I am a blind user. I love the app for its information but as a blind user, I find it difficult to navigate within the amendments to find particular sections so that I can use them in a political discussion.

Ignore the trolls

This app is good. Some of the other reviews are borderline nonsensical, or possibly just outdated—I haven't gotten a single ad and everything works fine. (EDIT: I will say I have the free version, so I don't know about the search function.) This app can't be liberal propaganda because everyone knows liberals don't believe in the Constitution anymore. As proof that they don't, that same oaf clearly has no idea what "well regulated" meant in the 1700s, or that "SHALL NOT" is the actual operative phrase in the 2nd Amendment.

Don't pay for it

While I like the simple, text only design, I paid $1.99 to be able to have a search feature. Unfortunately, the search is a 100% failure. It won't even find known words, such as "person." Very disappointed!

Search upgrade doesn’t work!

I just paid for the upgrade and when I search for “arms” nothing comes up! Piece of junk. I want my $2 back!

This app is more Liberal propoganda

This app was written by a bleeding heart liberal who hates our country. Its full of liberal ideas like the separation of church and state, protections for people accused of crimes, and freedom for the press!

Further they added the words “well regulated” to the second amendment! We all know the Constitution doesn’t say anything about regulations.

Search Function

Search function does not work. Type in “republican” and it does not show up.

Search function doesn’t work

I paid the 1.99 to search & it doesn’t work. I do not recommend

Copy & Paste Removed

I’ve had this app a long time and found it to be a good way to review the Constitution and use quotes from it in legal discussions to make cases. Unfortunately, they have removed the ability to copy and paste from it, so it has suddenly lost most of its usefulness. I can still look up information but when I find it, I now have to go on the internet to copy the text. That’s duplicate work. So, I’m going to remove this app and get one that allows copy & paste functions.

Good enough

All the information and text is there but the GUI is meh. Also hasn’t been updated to fit newer iphone screen resolutions
