This app is a comprehensive residential construction tool for homeowners, builders, designers, and contractors who need to visualize, plan, and prepare for a single-family home project. From a 9-step wizard, this app generates a complete schematic drawing set — architectural, structural, MEP, plumbing, and energy — across up to 39 sheets, along with multi-discipline engineering calculations. Drawings export as multi-page PDF or DXF files compatible with AutoCAD, LibreCAD, and Revit. Version 1.1 introduces three powerful standalone tools accessible directly from the Home screen: Construction Cost Estimator — Enter your project's square footage, region, and quality level to receive a trade-by-trade cost breakdown with low and high range totals. Covers 13 trades including foundation, framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and soft costs, with regional multipliers for seven U.S. regions. Code Compliance Checker — Enter your project parameters and this app evaluates them against IECC 2021 energy code, IRC 2021 structural prescriptive limits, and NEC 2020 electrical requirements. Each item shows a color-coded pass or fail result with the controlling code section and the exact value that failed. Permit Submission Checklist — A 32-item interactive checklist organized across four categories: Drawing Set, Calculations, Site and Legal Documents, and Regulatory Checks. Items persist between sessions and a progress bar tracks overall completion. The drawing generator covers all major disciplines: G (cover and general notes), C (civil and site), A (architectural plans, elevations, sections, details), S (structural foundation and framing), M (mechanical HVAC), E (electrical plans and panel schedule), P (plumbing and gas), and T (IECC energy compliance). Calculations include structural span sizing per IRC Table R502.3.1(2), Manual J-simplified HVAC loads, NEC 220 electrical service sizing, IPC plumbing DFU and WSFU sizing, and IECC 2021 prescriptive envelope compliance. All output is clearly labeled NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION and requires review and seal by a licensed professional before use in permit submission or construction.
