ONE KEYPAD, EVERYWHERE Every calculator input now opens the same construction keypad. Feet, inches, yards, metres and fractions are always a tap away, and the iPhone number pad no longer turns up halfway through a takeoff. GUIDED ENTRY • A new Next key saves the value and moves to the next field without closing the keypad. On the last field it becomes Calculate. • The field you're entering is outlined and scrolled into view, so you always know where you are in a form. • Fields that take words keep the normal keyboard, now with Done and Next above it. LIVE DIAGRAMS On Stairs, Rafters, Fence, Baluster and Right Angle, the dimension you're entering is highlighted on the drawing and redrawn as you type — so you can see what the number means before you commit it. Where a drawing has no line for a field, it stays unmarked rather than pointing at the wrong one. On Stairs you can also tap a dimension on the drawing to jump straight to the field it comes from. FIXES • A fraction typed straight after a metric unit (for example m, 3, /, 4) showed the value but saved zero. It now saves what you entered. • Diagrams could draw incorrectly at small sizes. • On roof calculators, the dimension you were editing stayed unhighlighted when it fell outside code limits — the one you were most likely adjusting.
