Additional basic features

It would be nice if we could do simple CRUD. The feeding in videos with the AI stuff is cool, but it still doesn’t have the basic CRUD options. Right now I’m forced with using Apple shortcuts/Files to add recipes and photos so it’ll be nice if we could do that and then also if the shopping list could be outputted into a file as well that we can pass through that would be great. Also the ability to re-categorize make folders move around folders. Other than that, it’s a pretty good app.

Different folder.

It would be great if the app allows to store the recipes outside of a default folder on iCloud. It crashes at the first startup multiple times but I hope it is resolved once the config files are set up.

Using this app deleted my files.

I tapped remove on a recipe to take it out of my shopping list and it’s now gone from iCloud. The whole .cook file has been deleted. Removing this app from my devices and asking for a refund.

Response from developer

Hi batsquatch47 I'm very sorry that your file was deleted. I can imagine how it is frustrating for you. Thank you for requesting a refund. I just wanted to note that CooklangApp is a read-only app and we rely on Apple infrastructure for iCloud synchronisation.  If you don't mind helping us, could you please send us more details on hello@cooklang.org about the context so we can try to reproduce that dreadful situation? What version of Mac and iOS do you use? How many (approximately) recipes do you have? Can you recall a few steps before this file disappear? Do you use only Mac and an iOS device or you have more? This information would greatly help us with identifying the issue. Thank you for your help -Alexey
