About
From the page to the heart.
We're encouraged to hold the Bahá'í sacred writings in our hearts, not just on our shelves. But how do you actually do that? Reading a passage a few times over rarely
makes it stay.
Corazón is one way to help. It's an application to assist with learning the Writings by heart, one passage at a time. Familiarize yourself with a passage by
having it read aloud to you. Then test yourself, reciting it back while the app hides parts of it, whether portions of each word or just a first letter as a hint.
As you recite, the app listens on your phone and shows the words as you say them.
It runs on a simple finding from memory research: the effort of trying to say the words before you feel ready is what makes you remember them longterm. Saying them aloud does more than reading them again, and returning over several days settles them deeper each time. That is the whole method, and it only asks a few honest minutes a day.
You start with a library already loaded with over 1200 prayers, Hidden Words, and study passages, including the longer obligatory prayers and full Ruhi sections. Add what
you want, drop what you don't.
As you practice, you move through four modes of recall, each showing a little less than the last. The app tracks your progress and picks what to work on next, so you
don't have to keep score. Everything stays on your phone. No account, no servers, and your voice is never recorded or sent anywhere.
