‼️ Bugs for fixing
Response from developer
Hi if you have any issues you can make one on github. Thanks for the kind comment.
The nearly perfectly open-source & zero telemetry music player I've waited YEARS for!
However, there are a few glaring issues keep me from fully switching over. Keeping in mind the app's early development, here are a few positives and negatives.
Positives:
- Open-source 🙏
- Supports MP3, FLAC, OPUS (buggy) & WAV.
- Does not collect data or use telemetry.
- Very nice UI (not so good UX).
- Allows users to import a custom GraphicEQ.
- Importing local music is easy and allows users to import songs from different folder locations.
- iCloud integration (not useful personally but a pro nonetheless).
Negatives:
- Adding/Appending to Queue is barely barely implemented and quite rudimentary.
- OPUS files display blank metadata.
- The option "Remove from library only" off by default. An unsuspecting user may unintentionally delete all of their local music files.
- When importing large numbers of music files (~2,000+) the app crashes. Although this may be due to the files app itself.
- Does not allow M3U/M3U8 playlist importing or exporting.
- Created playlists are only available in JSON format.
Note to the Lead Developer (clquwu):
Overall this is a wonderful app and I have been following its development closely. I'd like to make a kind suggestion that the queue, playlists and importing be prioritized as those are the only issues preventing my full switch over. In time of course. Thank you for taking initiative and creating something like this for little to nothing in your valuable time on this earth. 🙂
Response from developer
Love the feedback unfortunatly, the format M3U and M3U8 works with path that is probably from your windows / desktop app anyway so cross referencing that is impossible. Will see what i can do for the crash on huge loads.

Nostalgic
Love the app and I appreciate it and its creators existence. Can’t wait to see if and what it develops into!
It’s good but I have issues
Amazing app and UI
All I wanted.
To be fair, I don’t use many features like playlists and I’ve only used it for a small time so I can’t say how good the shuffle feature works. Still, it’s better than the most popular app.
Absolutely lovely
Could be great but misses the mark
Needs improvements
Response from developer
If you have issues report it if you want it to work on the ux i would love too. Everything is on the github.
Love
Amazing job.
1. if you search a song, you can’t long press to get options such as adding it to a playlist. You have to play the song first or look it up manually in the all songs sections. Same issue in the queue section.
2. You cannot create a queue/run songs of just the search results. Like some files can have the name of the artist alone and it kinda creates a playlist of that artist songs alone.
3. When you open any playlist, the last song is hidden behind the current playing song, which doesn’t look good.
4. Custom playlist order rather than alphabetical. (The playlists not the songs inside which you can sort manually which is such an underrated feature)
5. A nifty feature would be to allow us to sort songs in the all songs section ‘not in a playlist’. Like in the apple photos app. So if you like to sort all your songs in playlists, this way you can see which ones are left to do.
6. Allow us to remove songs from the queue. This is a big one.

After using for a while not a fan
Really good music player. Lacking some quality of life/settings
Response from developer
Metadata editing will not be added on the app you can use other app to do that.
Good but I found a very annoying bug!
More modern than the other HD players or even Apple’s without a subscription
I threw 70gb of offline music into its local folder. Once I got rid of the 30 or so incompatible music files and let it re-index, the UI was smooth.
Some highlights
- The UI is very easy to adapt to.
- It supports external DAC and the option to play DSD using PCM or DoP. (I haven’t tested this yet)
- Lyrics support and artist info are extremely well done
It adds up to cosmos feeling more modern than using Apple’s offering with offline music only.
Things to be aware of,
- Indexing of your songs pauses if you open another app.
- In-car, with this app Siri will not be of use, but once the updated Siri launches things should get better.
Works as intended
Response from developer
i like the icons tho :(
I love it!
if it’s not too much i’d like to ask for some additions to it if possible. I’d love if there were an option to change the cover photo of songs (that or i just haven’t found it lol) and if there was a way to modify the title and artist in-app would be great additions to it!
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
