Creative!

I'm a professional musician who enjoys playing music in new and innovative ways, thinking outside of the box and CoTracks is a fun tool to do this with. However, please add: option to play actual keyboard w/ more octaves & play your sounds via our own physical/real life keyboard. Thanks CoTracks!

Pretty good

Works well & fun to use.

Keep the updates coming please!

Unbelievable for 99 cents

This take's the cake as far as "almost give-away" Apps! I'm a serious musician who also like's to have fun! This app certainly meets both! Really amazing and deep for synth programmers. So many things happening at once it's like a Synthesizer Pinball Machine, that produces serious unending fun and terrific sound! I would be charging $9.99 and even that would be a great deal. For less than a candy bar, this is a true gift!

Legit music app

This app has proven to be a real winner. Once you take some time, utilize the in-app help options, and play around a bit, you'll see that this app has some serious depth.

Lots of options for tweaking sounds, a multitude of instruments to use, and a very cool interface. The co-op feature looks great, however I have not used it yet.

Give this one a serious look.

Powerful GrooveBox

It might look a bit "fiddly" at first, finding and adjusting the parameters for the synths and effects etc inside the menus and tiny icons. But once you find your way around, this is one really, really capable groovebox. 1 mono synth and 1 poly synth which you can have up to 12 unique instances of, the same goes for the drum machine.

I'm really liking the sounds the synths and their effects can spit out. It's not the deepest synths you'll find on the AppStore, but they are fast and easy to make new sounds with, and they are quite versatile with the ability to produce some deep gritty bass sounds (with some automated wobble for good measure!) to thin leads and pluck-ish pads. Since it is quite fast to get this groove box up and runnin with some new sounds etc, it is one of the apps I do keep coming back to for coming up with some new fast beats/stuff generation.

Don't get stuck on the co-op part if that's not your thing. This works just as well as a regular "solo" user groove box. As mentioned, it can be a bit fiddly at first, the small-ish menus and icons that is. But take your time and check it all out. There's so much this can do that might not be apparent at first. Automation is one great feature here.

Another thing I really like is that it can export each track as individual files which is great for batch copying over tracks to a DAW.

It works fine on iOS 7. Got Audiobus support. Adjustable buffer settings, so it'll run well on most devices.

Fun and great sounding groovebox, well recommended!

more than you might think!

This might seem like a party app.... It can be... Yet, CoTracks has much more to offer for those interested. It's really a pro grade app...

It can be used for collaboration with up to 4 other people, or as a 1 person workstation. A lot of good sounds included...

Needs ability to edit recorded midi... Would like to see Virtual Midi support. Developer says MIDI implementation is in the works!

Very useful as a sketchpad for musical ideas, and can be used for full blown sequencing...

Awesome App

Made for collaboration, but I'm loving it solo. Great Dev that cares what customers want. Audio has been optimized at users request. Love it. Maybe I'll let someone play with me someday.

Still a toy but....

Very clever app, one can see that a lot of thought went into this. Somehow it reminds me of korg kaossilator pro box but better in many ways. Or it will be better when (if) the developers allow for adding own samples and midi support for external keyboards for live use.
Other than that the concept is great and an amazing way to jam solo or with other people. Unfortunately at present mostly suitable for techno etc. types of music.
Ps. Overdub recording and tap tempo button feel absolutely essential.

Fun and useful

Great fun when collaborating with others or playing solo. Very well thought out with features and functionality.

Chokes on ipad mini with iOS 7

Want to like this so bad, but it's not ready for prime time yet

Very nice app.

This is a very nice app for the novice, but would have more potential with Audio Bus and midi out. Hope to see these features in future updates, then I'll give you five stars.
Good work.

Doesn't work with ios7.02

Had an old version iOS on my iPad and it worked although sound is very crackling. With the update to 7.02 it doesn't work at all. Come on guys... Update it !!!!

Brilliant

It's a great concept but actually Cotracks is much more than a quirky music app to share with friends, in fact it's too good to share! Making music with this app is a pure pleasure, it has some great features, offers loads of control and sounds really good. I like it.

Great Features but lacking ACP and AudioBus

This is really fun to use, well thought out, with great tutorials and user guide. Allows novice musicians to get a handle on beat making and rhythm with this easy to use looper. I love how easy it is to re-record a mistake … and add up to 3 instruments per "track" as a way of overdubbing without losing your first recording(s). Actually there are many things I love about this app and just a couple things I don't like … 1. No AudioBus and 2. No Audio/Copy/Paste. This would be so much more useful if the mixdown could be copied instead of going into iTunes File Sharing … very few want to have to connect to their computer to retrieve a recording to use in their iOS daw. A mobile app should stay mobile. Add ACP or AudioBus and I'll add the missing star :)
