Review reduced - app appears abandoned
Edit to my previous review. App appears to be abandoned. Not updated since early 2019. Developer does not respond to basic support emails, despite my purchase of premium. Too many competitors who are actively maintaining their apps. Moved on.
So Many Bugs
I want to like this app so much. I’ve paid for it and will tip more when it’s functional. The aesthetics are great. But then there are the bugs: 1. The gallery tab is empty 2. When attempting to use the Single Countdown widget attempting to select a widget causes sit, spin, and do nothing 3. Selecting the Up Next widget displays a widget in the past (~12k days ago) 4. The date I set on a widget in the past (my Birthday) keeps changing without user interaction—i.e. it’s corrupting my user-input data
Here are some things that may or may not be bugs but they are definitely confusing: 1. Selecting “Units” on a count down does not change what is displayed on the Home tab within the app (i.e. setting Units to Years does not change a card from displaying “days ago” to “years ago” as expected. 2. I expected that setting Repeat to Every Year would cause the widget to show a countdown to the upcoming date. It does not and it does not appear there is a way to chose this behavior.
And finally a couple of features requests: 1. A way to rotate through looking backward at a date (how long since the first recurrence) and forward (how long until the next recurrence) 2. A more flexible recurrence system (take a look at the many apps that implement this: calendars, todo apps, etc.). I want to be able to set Election Day to every four years for example. Or Garbage Day to every-other week. I’d love to be able to enter a rule for U.S. Thanksgiving (4th Thursday in November).
Please continue development. I really want to love your app. I was disappointed that I can’t yet.

Ideal widget
Since widgets are mainly informational and not interactive, it's good to see a nice, clean widget that is simple and tells you exactly what you need to know. Great job, devs!

Love the app, but it would be nice if y’all release a dark theme for the widget itself.

Great app, easy to use and quick to get it up and running.
The widget is very useful but I would like it if you could combine categories for this.
Also, this app gets bonus points as I love apps that give you a choice of icons and themes to choose from 👍

iOS sync doesn’t work
iOS platform sync doesn’t work across iPhone and iPad so whatever I update either from one device, it doesn’t sync to iCloud and old data overrides on another device when I open the app (and have to manually command iCloud sync, by the way)
Very frustrating and disappointed since I’ve been looking for an app the counts down deadline and also I can add it from/to calendars.

Great little countdown app, syncs well between devices. Only negative so far is that the widget doesn’t work. 5* app if that gets fixed.

Watch complication doesn’t update automatically
Love this app but having to manually launch the app on my phone every day to make sure the watch complication is current is a real drag. Other apps have complications that update in the background.

This app is lightweight and awesome. Simplicity at its finest. Does exactly what it says it will do.
