About

CounterParts by PixelRyu is a cozy, turn-based grid puzzle about two mirror twins who move as one. Inside a brass tally counter, you move the twins Gold and Platinum with a single swipe in opposite directions, use walls to break their mirror, and land both in their own matching-color hole in the very same move. ONE SWIPE, TWO TWINS - Gold is a warm golden glass drop. Platinum is a cool silver-white glass drop. Their warm and cool colors, plus a small sparkle on Gold, differ on purpose, so the puzzle stays clear even if exact colors are hard to tell apart. - Every swipe moves BOTH twins one cell at once, in opposite directions. Swipe up and Gold rises while Platinum sinks; swipe left and they split apart. You are never steering one twin - you are steering the pair. DESYNC IS THE TRICK - A wall or the board edge can stop one twin while the other keeps going. That moment - one held, one free - is how you break the mirror and line both twins up. Reading where to desync, and in what order, is the whole puzzle. LAND THEM TOGETHER - You clear the level the instant both twins rest in their own matching-color hole after the same swipe. A hole gently catches a twin but never locks it, so you cannot just park one and forget it. Arriving together is the real challenge. COZY BY DESIGN - No death, no fail state, no timer. Take all the time you like. - Beating par earns more stars, but going over par still clears the level. One star is always reachable, so you are never stuck. - Every move clicks the tally counter forward by one, the digit drum rolls, and Undo rolls it back. Clearing stage N rolls your lifetime counter to N - a quiet journey of counting all the way to 120. 120 LEVELS, SEVEN FAMILIES - 120 hand-built levels that introduce one idea at a time: walls and goal holes, then tinted gates, one-way detents, mirror pivots, ice grooves and portal pairs, switches and doors, and finally crossover holes. - Boards start at 4x4 and grow to 7x7. Par climbs from a gentle 3 to 5 early on to a thoughtful 14 to 18 later. - Collect cog gears as you go. HELPFUL, OPTIONAL EXTRAS - Undo any move, as often as you like. - Watch an optional ad for a bonus: an extra Undo, a Hint that shows the next correct swipe, a Skip to continue past a level (no stars), or double cog coins. Ads are always optional and clearly labeled. A FEW MORE THINGS - Near textless - arrows and icons carry the play, so it fits all ages and every language. Localized in 12 languages. - Sound and haptics, both on by default, each with its own toggle. - Plays in portrait or landscape. - Works offline after install. - Made by PixelRyu, an independent developer. Supported by ads, with no in-app purchases in this version. Two counterparts, one move - move the twins, and count to 120. https://pixelryu.github.io/counterparts/

What's New in CounterParts

1.0.1

June 29, 2026

This update makes CounterParts easier to learn: • New: the first time a new obstacle appears, a quick tip now explains it — and the How to Play screen lists every mechanism in the game. • The hint arrow is bigger and clearer, and stays on screen until you make your move instead of fading on a timer. • Smoother scrolling in the level list. No timer, no fail state — cozy as ever. Thanks for playing!
