About
Counting for First Graders is fairy-tale maths for children in their first year of school. Kids really count – potions, swords, crowns, gingerbread men and other magical things – and drag the right number card into place. Everything is big, colourful and spoken aloud, so no reading is needed.
WHAT CHILDREN LEARN
• Addition up to 20 – first with pictures, then in groups of five, then just numbers
• Subtraction up to 20 – things fly or roll away, and kids count what is left
• Comparing numbers – greater than, less than, equal to
• Crossing ten, step by step, in five levels
DRAGON DUEL
A dragon is guarding his treasure. Every right answer wins a coin – but hurry, time is running out and the dragon is getting grumpier! At the end of the round he blows a funny burst of fire and hides what is left. The coins stay with your child and the treasure chest fills up round after round.
HELP THAT TEACHES
• A hint bubble with an arrow shows where the card goes
• Finger counting – two hands to tap and count on
• After a mistake, the app helps count the pictures – every problem ends in success
ADAPTS TO YOUR CHILD
The difficulty adjusts automatically. Problems are generated, so children can practise endlessly.
FOR PARENTS
• Progress overview, charts and "still tricky" problems
• Settings for voice, sounds, music, dragon timer and difficulty
• No ads, no accounts, no data collection – everything stays on the device
Available in English and Czech. Made by Kamil Kopecký, MindCraft – Mathematics.
