Grifters
The “offers” I have for the card are all from courtyard itself. So immediately this feels like a way they can grind profits from cards by selling them in packs for an inflated price, buy them back below FMV to sell again at an inflated price in a pack.
If that wasn’t bad enough…
When you try and vault the item it says you can’t. If you ask to ship the item to you they charge you half the value of the card to cover taxes, shipping, site fees and insurance. That doesn’t cover the the duty or import fees you will have to pay which would likely be the other half of the card’s value essentially making that card cost twice what you paid in order to recoup your expenses.
The second card I bought directly from the marketplace I was charged twice for and did not receive the card. Was told to wait 5 days to see if the charges are dropped or the card is delivered. For a digital marketplace this seems suspicious even if it’s a payment provider issue. Worst of all is that support appears to only be AI and will not help you beyond its programmed directives meaning I can’t contact a human to help and am forced to just sit and wait and hope the issue magically resolves itself.
Don’t waste your time with these marketplaces.

Good but needs important improvements
One feature I really want to praise is the daily rewards system. It clearly sets Courtyard apart from many competitors. The system is simple, easy to understand, and the small randomization makes claiming rewards a bit more exciting. Over time, you can save enough points to open boosters for free. Of course, it takes a while, but considering you’re essentially earning free value, I think it’s a fair trade off. It also keeps users engaged for a longer period, and I can imagine many people eventually making their first purchase after enjoying the app for some time.
However, I think the referral system could be much more motivating. Currently, you only receive rewards for your first six referrals, and only once when each referral opens a pack worth at least $25. The reward amount is fixed and there are no long term incentives. If someone uses your 10% referral discount, a $25 booster becomes cheaper, meaning the affiliate takes the risk of referring someone who opens a discounted pack, pulls nothing valuable, and potentially uninstalls the app immediately afterward. A long term referral program with recurring rewards based on user activity would be far more engaging for both affiliates and the platform. Another thing I’d like to see improved is the pack odds. Right now, the odds across most packs are so similar that there is very little motivation to buy the more expensive boosters. More variety in the risk/reward profiles would make choosing between different packs much more interesting and meaningful.
The restock schedule is another issue. Some restocks take far too long and become frustrating. For example, the Basketball Basic Booster hasn’t been restocked for 9 days. That also affects the weekly quests. If you want to complete them for the reward points, you’re indirectly forced to open the $25 boosters because the cheaper options simply aren’t available. Giving players more consistent restocks or alternative ways to complete these quests would make the experience much better. One feature I’d absolutely love to see is PvP booster opening battles. The CS2 case battle scene has shown how incredibly popular and entertaining different battle modes can be. Bringing a similar concept to Courtyard.io could make opening packs much more social, competitive, and exciting while giving players another fun reason to stay active on the platform.
Overall, Courtyard has built a fantastic app with great performance, an excellent marketplace, and one of the best daily reward systems I’ve seen. Improving the referral program, adding more variety to the pack odds, making restocks more consistent, and introducing PvP pack battles would easily make this a 5 star experience.
