I didn’t think it could get any worse
The app has been more adverts than news for some time, but the fact that you can only read 20 full articles a week before having to pay a subscription is legalised robbery. I’m deleting the app and will rely on the BBC for local news from now on.

Full of ads, every few news stories there is a ad, lately, marked as news stories, they have ads to win various products. The level of journalism has also dropped off bigtime with spelling and grammer mistakes, thought the editor was suppose to proof read before publishing.

Shocking Comments Section
Virtually any comment you try posting is disabled within seconds. Even positive ones with no foul language or abuse or anything.
Will be getting rid of the app now as it’s a complete waste of time and I’m not the only one, a lot of friends feel the same way.

Be nice if you could actually see the headlines in full for each story, terrible recent updates.

Waste of time !!!
This app was only bearable because it was free. NOW you can only view 20 articles a week before being told to subscribe. Why would you pay for a load of cut and paste articles. Also the same face from various businesses pop up giving us useless advice but at the same time managing to advertise their businesses.

New update is awful
The new setup doesn’t allow to switch stories without going back into the homepage, which is just awful and clunky. It was much better when you could just swipe to go to the next story.

Coventry IS multicultural but the paper isn’t!
Continuous spelling mistakes from the journalists are common and they only open the comments up on certain articles to seemingly cause friction between races/areas… but they say it’s unbiased journalism???
They don’t even remove openly racist profiles! Not what I’d expect from a City of Culture!!

Poor journalism
Poor doesn’t really cover it. Old news and generally anti Coventry-nothing in Coventry that is heartwarming or constructive is ever published- poor moderation of any comments leading to hate crimes and the coverage of death notices is appalling - usually glorifying gang culture rather than calling it out.

Trying to reply to a story where people are actually talking about burning travellers caravans!!🤷🏼 and blaming the local authorities my reply was it’s very extreme they aren’t affecting your life private property etc, but if you feel that way about it confront them basically, no insults aimed towards anyone only towards me, but my reply was deemed offensive and inappropriate, and not posted it seems that whoever is admin on this article is very biased and actively encouraging people to vent their anger towards the travelling community, as people are agreeing with the original post, where I am trying to point out that they are making matters worse, all my replies have been deleted, will be reporting this and the obvious biased opinions, plus your admins, stop people from posting acts of violence towards other communities basically racism at its finest

Poor journalism
Too many spelling and grammatical mistakes. Days old articles and quite obvious that the reporters do not live any where near Coventry. Incomplete stories and information. Too many adverts. There should be a newspaper layout available to read as the Coventry Observer does. We want to know what’s happening in Coventry enabling us to support local events

Trying to cram so many adverts in, the actual news gets lost and the links to Scams is increasing. Takes forever to load but getting better with the new format.

I used to love it his app but last 2 weeks I can no longer comment. When I try it says my comment has not been added. Why is this? I’ve not been naughty 🤣

Did the latest update and although it shows how many comments are made I can’t see them or comment myself it just says oops there’s an error on the page!! Useless and waste of time

The amount of pop ups on this app make it impossible to actually read any news . Please sort this as I am sure you are losing visitors .
