Does what it needs to do
Great companion to the CQ-20B! Does what I need it to do and does it with minimal fuss. Any time I have an “issue” with it I can always attribute it to user error. This whole setup end-to-end blows the socks off the offerings from the tribe! What an upgrade for our band. Been using it now for about six months we all love it.

I was hesitant to download this app due to reviews but in the right environment it was easy to setup and use would recommend if your looking for an app that does exactly what the computer software does.
Great little mixer
CQ range are all great little mixers, with very smooth app. Works great for me, no issues so far. I’ve had in for 10 months now.
Non functioning
Guess I won’t be using my new CQ2. App refuses to download
Apps works and quick response from A&H
I’m actually pretty impressed at this point. I initially submitted a review saying that the app isn’t good because it wouldn’t find the mixer even though I was connected to the Wi-Fi. Within 48 hours, A&H responded saying that they released an update with a fix. Now it works flawlessly and I couldn’t be happier with it. Good work to Allen & Heath for making a great mixer and a really solid app.

Cq app won’t connect
App permission is nowhere to be found. App not showing up on list. CQ mixer is worthless without the app being able to connect. Fix this Allen and Heath.
App won’t connect to my mixer
This app is god awful. I’m able to connect my iPad to my CQ18T wi-if with no problems. However, the app won’t request access to devices on my local network so it never finds the mixer. I can’t even manually turn that setting on in the Local Network settings because the app has to make the request first before it’ll show up in that list. Since I can’t get the app to connect to the mixer, the app is completely useless.
Do yourself a favor and just get Mixing Station. That worked immediately and I haven’t had any issues with it.

Will not connect
Stick with v1.2.1 mixpad on iPad with v18.5 . It will still work. V1.2.2 will not work.

Bluetooth Problem
Bluetooth is glitching. Dropping out for no reason. When I try and remove a device it won’t remove unless I add another one. When I add a device it won’t load until I shut the iPad down and reboot it. Very annoying!
Won’t open on new iPad
Shows that it is connected on the cq18t mixer but doesn’t show up on the iPad. 10th gen and iPad Air 5 gen. Can’t go around the room mixing when it doesn’t show up when it says choose unit. Only shows Demo version and other. Typed in I.p addy and still doesn’t connect. It worked a few months back but I don’t know what’s going on now with connections. Please advise asap. Thanks

Almost perfect
The app is fantastically designed. The only two things I would love to see are:
1) More vivid colors for channel assignments
2) Maintains stable connection when running in the background (swapping apps)

Too many bugs
It worked until the newest update; resets every so often then it does it every 3 min
Very convoluted app
The app is very convoluted, not intuitive at all and has many bugs. I tried to use it for 2 months, and eventually switched to Mixing Station.
Needs keyboard entry support
Works pretty well though it does take a while to get familiar with how things are arranged among all the modes and tabs. I’ll get used to it.
Virtual rotary controls are pretty awkward and imprecise though. My finger gets in the way of seeing what I’m doing and fine adjustments can be difficult. It almost always moves a little when I lift my finger.
Slider controls are easier to use with precision.
I really wish I could double tap on any numerical value I see to edit as a text field with the keyboard. This would help tons on the rotary controls, but honestly adding to sliders and the PEQ values would be great as well. I notice the desktop app also doesn’t use the keyboard which seems like an even bigger UX miss.

App is perfectly fine
I don’t get the bad reviews. The app works great on my old non M1 iPad Pro.
Works well, does what it should
I was compelled to write a fine review to offset all the negative ones. It nearly perfectly mirrors the unit’s interface. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is some extremely minor bugs and that the unit itself lacks some obvious software features (groups - why would you have groups in the monitor app but not this app??? Seems like an easy fix). Workflow could be extremely enhanced if the large encoder could we used to cycle through channels.

Was not ready for release
Got the feel of a beta release. Seems like engineers didn’t get enough time to work out the solution before somebody in marketing made the call to release. Testing was not thorough enough.
The approach of having a tab for config’ process’ fader and fx is flawed IMO. The poor execution didn’t help. Just one example - why having faders at the bottom of the fox tab that are the main mix. It should be the FX mix. So confusing.
The result is : need too many taps before accessing a given functionality.
