Incorrect cursive

I can’t believe there is an app teaching kids the incorrect cursive letters. I can’t believe I paid for this thinking it was correct. I found out because my daughter said the words don’t have every letter so I told her to do the word “box”. The “b” is wrong. I went thru the lower case alphabet and found numerous letters are wrong. I didn’t even look at upper case. No point. Told her this app is getting deleted. Waste of money.

We have a feature in settings that allows this to be changed to the style your child prefers. If we have missed any out please do let us know and we can expand the range of letters and styles. We clearly do need to make this feature more prominent! Thank you for flagging this to us, Vicky

Problems with functionality.

We are using this app to help my daughter with her handwriting skills and it’s pretty good. But we have encountered some functionality problems - we can’t delete user profiles (our preschooler added 5 of her own) and also can’t swap between users while still in the app (you need to quit and restart, which is annoying).

Do not get this app

The app is very misleading. It is marketed as an app your child can learn cursive with, but that is not the case......unless you want them to learn the incorrect way. Almost every letter is incorrect. Find a different app.

Limited to 3 letter words

It's great for learning how to write cursive but it doesn't let you write more than 3 letter words. I still think it is a really fun app. Great for beginners.

Hi Rosabella6, Thanks for your feedback back in 2015. Sorry to be so late replying to your review but the 'reply to reviews', feature is new to us! This app does definitely allow you to write words that are longer than 3 letters. The words are based on the top 100 high frequency words. We do start off with the shorter words as it is the best place to start for beginner writers but it definitely progresses to words like 'children' and 'people', as they are high frequency words. Your little one has probably outgrown the game by now but if you do go back and revisit it do let me know how you get on! With thanks Vicky Carpenter Teacher and Director of MadeByEducators

The lower case cursive r is incorrect. My daughter was writing it wrong for awhile before I noticed.

CrazyCursive App Review

Amazing app, really good!
One thing that could be improved for the letter writing would be letting you chose if you want to go onto more then one letter joined up instead of doing it automatically after you go of it, for example it goes straight to: aaa after you do: a. For people like me, I would want my child to practise the same single letter every day without having to go a change the settings everyday.

For people who haven't bought this app, defiantly buy it as it the best app I have ever got, I am just trying to make it even better than it already is.

A really sweet app!

The characters are great, and its a great way to get children writing as they normally hate handwriting practice. Needs a big reward at the end though.

Not a good teaching tool

This app does not teach proper formation of cursive letters. I hoped my daughter could use this as a means of practicing what she is learning in school, unfortunately it only confuses her. She knows they are wrong and doesn't want to play it. If your child is learning the same cursive writing you we learned in school, this will disappoint.
