FIX FOUND ! - Incompatibility with iOS

FIX FOUND !

I spent a full week messing with settings to try and connect my wireless mirroring. There’s conflicting information about the compatibility with iPhones and this app. I’m my experience, testing 7 iOS devices ranging from iPhone 6, 6 plus, 13, 13 promax, 16 and 17 - none of them would connect to the bridge despite being on the network.

However, of the three androids I have access to (s21 and two s23’s) all of them connected immediately with zero changes.

The functionality of the app is pretty good once connected. I was able to scan without my computer even being turned on so there was no issue with lag time.

THE FIX for iOS - GO TO SETTINGS > APPS > CREALITY SCAN and turn on local network at the top. It was seriously that easy !

iOS app absolutely sucks

Title says it all, You’d think the devs would put some effort into this app for a $7000 scanner…

Not working on tablet

This app doesn't work on my tablet, it kicked me out when I go into it!

Not fully fleshed out

The app connects to my ferret pro just fine and scans just fine however I can’t import my projects from my iPhone to my pc because I have to use the app to scan a QR code but when I try to, it says I need to give the app access to my iPhone 17 pro’s camera but the permissions in iOS setting for the app don’t provide an option for camera access which most likely means it was never fully implemented within the app as iOS would detect that it may try to use the camera and this would provide the option to allow or not.

Wants Camera to transfer files but not an available option in Settings for the App

Running latest Creality Scan app on iPhone 13 Pro Max trying to transfer scan file to Mac for processing- need to scan QR code, press button to scan it says I need to allow camera access and brings me to Settings app for the app - no “Allow Camera” access option available!?!

Look in the fridge

The app for my fridge is better and more responsive

Nope

Just can’t get this thing to connect. Don’t buy

Does not work with Sermoon X1!

Just to fore-warn, if you were looking to use the Sermoon X1 with the WiFi bridge and Creality Scan app as IT DOES NOT WORK! Constantly receive “Scan QR code error” and has NEVER connected

Will not allow you to use the Ferret Pro for iPhone 16 / 16Pro Max.

Just tried to connect my new iPhone 16 pro max up to the Ferrt pro that I bought only to find out the developers haven’t updated the firmware to accept any of the new phones on the market.

!!!Please fix this issue!!!
I am sure there are many people that have this scanner and can’t use it as intended for wireless scanning because of this.

Can’t use app at all.

I have a Linux computer which is unsupported. An iOS phone which can’t support direct cable connection and when I connect to the WiFi device it asks me to set a password which honestly should already be set or not be required but I digress. The issue is when I put in a password the button to save the password is unclickable.

Just really disappointing that a device that cost me multiple hundreds of dollars is effectively useless.

Can not get the scanner to connect

I cannot get the scanner to connect with my phone making this useless. It looks like this issue been going on for years and it still is not fixed.

Great app, works well

I bought a ferret pro as a scanner. Scanned it with iPhone 13 using this app without any issues. Was really easy to use, worked great, and didn’t have any issues. If something is wrong, it explains what to do instead.

Was even capable transferring a model to a laptop for post processing, since it was a large scan. Worked flawlessly, pc app also worked well. After all of that, open it in a CAD software and did everything what I needed to.

Definitely recommend it since it had a decent amount of update since the release and works nicely.

App written by monkeys

Horrible app, horrible performance. Makes me regret buying creality scanner instead of going with a better brand. It just makes it so difficult

Trash

I bought thousands of dollars worth of Creality scanners for my Hospital because they would be useful. This is the most garbage app I have ever used in my life. Y’all are tardy & cheap AF, I’m sure you could hire someone to make a better app with there’s thousands of dollars of scanners I’m returning. What a joke of a company

Don’t waste your time

None of their products work well. I’m not sure if it’s because of this app or the hardware, but the app is definitely trash. There’s so many obviously bad parts, but my favorite is setting the password for the WiFi bridge… haha, the little text box that zooms all over the place is hilarious 😂… definitely cheaper ways to get a laugh, but, regardless, a laugh was got.
