Pairing Nightmare
I love the lights once they are paired and I can select the exact shade of whitish yellow, as well as the intensity. Pairing to the bulbs that randomly unpair and remembering the password to an app I use once every year or two? Not so much. Takes me 45 mins to get back into the app and pair the bulbs every time. As I write this review I’m on my third round of trying to add the lights to my app so I can change their color back from scalding-my-eyeballs-white. Please make a better app or fix the bluetooth hell that is this system.

Cree lighting
Pure garbage. Both the lights and the app.
The only thing worse than the lights and the app, is Cree customer service. I’ll be donating these lights to the nearest landfill.

Would Love an Iphone Widget!!!
It is a great app and lightbulb company! I truly recommend it is fairly priced, has many features, is bright, has many different colors, and can even connect to an Alexa for voice control! But I would appreciate a widget for easier access for the iPhone controls! Would make it a five star!!!
No group option
It would be helpful if the group option was available after updating and or reinstalling.
Not connected
Idk what’s going on with this latest update but I have to toggle off and back on my Bluetooth otherwise the app tells me my bulb is not connected. Schedule is also wonky.
Wt f
I had this for the past four years and all of a sudden it stops working. Like it asks me to connect blue tooth even tho my BT is already on!!
Worked fine yesterday now it’s not? Fix this please

Non-functional app, flashing bulbs
This app recently went from obtuse and borderline useless to completely non-functional. The Cree system barely worked the moment we implemented it in multiple rooms, failing in a host of ways - individual bulbs forgetting which room/group they were assigned to and failing to operate (on, off, programming) with their group; whole rooms forgetting and going through the strobe-effect initiation process every few days or weeks (room depending); no room maintaining “advanced” programming such as timers, Cree programs like “follow the sun,” etc. for longer than a week or so.
But now, the app doesn’t work…at all. Neither my husband or I can log in to the app, with the “log in” button permanently greyed out. Rooms are on the fritz big time, strobing every time we turn the lights on. Our house is a constant disco, and we only had to pay roughly $1,200 for the luxury.
There’s a clear reason Cree’s no longer in the residential lighting market.

Disappointing
I REALLY wanted to like this setup. There are some really cool features and the light quality is great. If you want to control one or two lights while you’re right there with them, go for it!
However, I primarily wanted these for grouping and scheduling functionality. Both of these fail pretty miserably. I set up schedules for entryway and hallway lights to come on low in the evening and turn off in the morning. They turn on at the scheduled time, but then turn off at 11:30pm for no discernible reason. On nights I work late, I come home to a pitch black house. Thank goodness I still had another brand in my porch light! In the morning, instead of turning off, they turn back on to 100%. So much for simplifying using less electricity.
I also used them in some fixtures that have multiple bulbs. Sometimes I can turn groups on together and control them as a group, but more often than not, I have to go select some stragglers individually and control them one at a time. The app will even occasionally tell me an individual light is on when it’s not or vice versa.
If you want these for a one-off party to set a mood or just to adjust the color on one or two lamps, they’d be fine. But for full-time, reliable functionality this app is a bust.

Dumb bulb
So tired of these apps needing an account and password just to turn on a light bulb. It constantly disconnects and I have to reconnect it. I’m going back to regular bulbs and ditching these apps.
Never connects
This app used to work but the past 6 months it constantly says my devices are “offline” and there’s a “device connection failure” when they ARE online and eventually connect. But the app is never accurate and so frustrating! I wish i never bought these
Used to Be Good
Recently the app was updated, now to run “tap to run” you have to now confirm you want the action to occur…. It’s NOT tap to run it’s almost faster to make the changes manually than use the tap to run feature. PLEASE FIX
Used to work
I’ve had these bulbs for about a year. Had no issues with the app in the beginning. Now it glitches out all the time saying the bulbs are offline. Can’t change the lights.
Removing functionality
Why would you remove the group function? Randomly the groups I had for my lights is gone and you even got rid of the button so we can’t even create them anymore. Now we have to manually set each bulb to the color and brightness we want which is a waste of time when I could do it with 1 button before, I will be switching my lights with a different brand soon.

Widgets!!!
Please add a widget! It would make turning on and off so easy.
Disgrw
Terrible code
Multi colored light bulb
Perfect.
Modo oscuro
La app increíble 💯 muy funcional para no tener que ir a apagar el 💡.. PERO DEBERÍAN PONER EL MODO OSCURO…
Está muy brillante la app..

Stupid stupid software
I cannot hate the software for these bulbs more.
Grouping bulbs is not available despite lies otherwise.
Follow the sun is such a great concept but it could not be worse if you tried.
The idea of having bulbs go from day light by day to warm light at night its great.
The problem is the bulbs keep forgetting their software and you have to manually set up each bulb, frequently.
Their default setting in this mode is only for certain days and dark at night hours.
Yes, lets turn on a bulb at night and have its default be 0% brightness.
If a switch gets flicked, due to hitting the wrong switch, kids, or some other error. They just blink and need to be reset all over again.
I have 8 of these in my kitchen and 3 of them stop doing follow the sun and just turn purple every 3 days.
And each must be fixed separately because grouping is not a real feature.

Buggy and dismal support
Over the last two years we’ve used a few Cree lights for outdoor lighting. Bulb color and intensity varies between lights, and wifi connectivity is super spotty. In my efforts to fix the many issues I’ve sent multiple emails to support, but none of my messages have ever been returned. Switched to Govee and having a MUCH better experience.
