Cannot get to work on iOS

Downloaded, attempted to open, but app closes immediately. It stays as an opened app in the background, yet any attempt tin access, it seems to open again and Bam, it goes immediately to the background. I’ve deleted and redownloaded to no avail. I’ve updated OS, again to no avail. I’ve restarted iPhone, again nada. My OS is 16.5.1 on an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I see no notable hurdles in the app age or in the (lack of) developer notes. What gives?
