About

Your neighbourhood is full of creatures. You just have to go outside. Critter Odyssey turns the real map around you into a world worth walking. Critters appear on real streets near you — and everyone standing in the same place sees the same ones, in the same spot, at the same moment. Walk within 80 metres and you can throw for it. WALK TO CATCH Wild Critters surface every few minutes, keyed to where you are and what time it is. You start with 100 Orbs, and your first 20 minutes bring extra Critters just for you. 36 CREATURES, 12 TYPES Fire, Water, Leaf, Electric, Ice, Wind, Rock, Shadow, Spirit, Cosmic, Bug and Metal — each strong against something and hopeless against something else. Feed a Critter enough of its own element and it evolves, twice, into a Super and then a Mega form worth showing off. TAKE A JOURNEY Some Critters only live far away, in local forms you'll never meet at home. Journeys take you to them: Paris, London, Kyoto, New York, the pyramids of Egypt and the giant football stadiums of the American South. Each stop is a real landmark with a fact card and Critters of its own, with more to spot on the way. Finish for a postcard stamp and a Critter from that part of the world. You start with two free tickets, and earn more by walking with the game open or inviting a friend. Journeys are solo: nobody there can see you. MERGE TWINS INTO ULTRAS Spare Critters land in your merge box. Drag one onto its identical twin and the two become one, a tier higher. Two Megas make an Ultra — a form you can only get by merging. Every 12 Ultras levels you up, and each level gives your Critters a new look. HOLD THE ARENAS Arenas are dotted around every neighbourhood, with a room for each trainer level. No room is ever empty: beat its computer rival and your champion defends it, earning food as it holds. Train it in a dodge mini-game to push its stats higher. Or walk up to someone else's champion and take the site off them, turn by turn, in a battle that respects every point of attack, defence, speed and type advantage. RAID THE UBERMAX Occasionally something enormous surfaces. Walk within 250 metres and tap it as fast as you can for 30 seconds. Your strike replays until the raid ends, and up to 24 trainers can pile in. Win, and it joins your collection at giant scale. TRADE FACE TO FACE Trading needs both trainers within about 200 metres of each other. No global marketplace, no strangers online — just the person standing near you. CACHES AND CARDS Caches scatter across the map holding Orbs and evolution food. Spin one, and keep it spinning to win every Orb on the wheel. Every catch becomes a card you can flip, tilt in your hand, and file in your Binder. GAME CENTER 24 achievements, from your first catch to a full Binder and 100 km walked. Leaderboards for different Critters, trainer level, and the week's biggest UberMax hitters and longest walks. And the Orb Range: ten Orbs, eight moving targets. On iOS 26, challenge a friend to beat your score. NO SIGN-UP There's no sign-up form and no password. Pick a trainer name and the rest of the world opens up: arenas you can lose, raids you can join, and trades with trainers nearby. Offline, the game carries on without them. BUILT TO RESPECT YOU No ads. No in-app purchases. No premium currency. No energy timers. No third-party analytics, no tracking, and no advertising identifier — the app has no third-party SDKs collecting anything. Other trainers are never shown where you are: you don't appear on anyone's map. Your collection lives on your device. Your account can be deleted from inside the app, immediately and for good. A soundtrack plays while you walk. Mute it any time. — Critter Odyssey needs your location while you're playing to place you on the map. It never tracks you in the background. Please watch where you're going. Nothing in this game is worth walking into traffic for. Critter Odyssey is an original game, with its own creatures, artwork and world.

What's New in Critter Odyssey

1.3

Nobody sees where you are Other trainers no longer appear on your map, and you no longer appear on theirs. To trade, the game tells you only how far away someone is, never where. Arenas show who is about An arena held by a real trainer now carries a flame, and says how recently it was taken. You can reach one from 150 metres away instead of 100. Three new journeys Travel up the Nile from the pyramids of Giza to Abu Simbel. Cross Manhattan from the Statue of Liberty to Central Park. Or take a road trip round six giant American football stadiums, from Mississippi to Tennessee. The Orb Range Ten Orbs, eight moving targets and no clock. Hit near the middle for more points. Find it at the trainer picture › Orb Range. On iOS 26 you can challenge a friend to beat your score in Game Center. Invite a friend Share your invite from the trainer picture › Invite a friend. When your friend puts in your code and catches their first Critter, you both get a journey ticket. Better UberMax raids A strike is now 30 seconds of tapping, not a whole minute, and your taps count for just as much. If you close the game while a raid is being won, your trophy is waiting when you come back. Easier on your battery The map does less while you stand still, and nothing at all while the game is in the background.
