Why 2 inch border

This is a handy app to calculate fabric size, but why is the default a 2” border when almost every stitcher uses a 3” border?! Please fix in an update to make it a 5 star app!

I would be lost without this app

I have had this for sooo many years and always use it for my stitching. I use it on my iPhone and am. Very grateful for it! Great job! Thank you. ~ Jane in RI

Great App

I’ve been using the app for about 1.5 years, and it’s been accurate every time. Very simple to use, but, correct information must be entered to obtain desirable results.

App issue

Unable to open existing app, since the last apple upgrade

App crashes

Been using this app for years and now it won’t even open.

Just crashes

Won’t even open anymore

Go-to XStitch Calculator

Love this app on my iPad Pro. I regularly update my software and have yet to experience any problems with the app not working.

One reviewer said the app didn’t calculate correctly, but I disagree. If you have a 4x4 project and want a 3-inch border all around, the fabric size would need to be 10x10, not 7x7. (Remember, you’re adding 3 inches to ALL sides: 3+4+3=10.)

Because none of us want to run short on fabric in our final stitched piece, the app rounds up. I like this feature. I’ve been burned too many times when I tried to save money by skimping on fabric. Better to spend a little money than waste a lot of time (and money) finding out too late that you cut your fabric too small.

Numbers are off

The first time I put in a size 7x7 with a 3 inch border it gave me the wrong size now it won’t work at all.

Review

I have the iPod touch and this app doesn't work on the newer IOS. Neither the free version nor the paid version works. It is sad that the support doesn't keep this app up because it was one I used all the time. It was simple to use and I found it to be accurate. Now when I open the app I only get a black screen.

Worked great before

I've used this app for years and it has always worked great, now it doesn't work the same way and isn't always accurate. The entire reason that I have this program is to prevent mathematical errors before I cut my fabric. As an example the pattern I was working on was 4 x 4 my math says with a 3 in border this should be 7x7 what I was told by the program was a full inch more on either side. This isn't too big a deal for me as it's slightly more but what if it had given an inaccurate amount to the negative? Free is great but accurate is a must have! Please revert to the old trustworthy version.

Poor since updated

Worked great until it was updated and now keyboard won't move to see calculations! Tried to contact the app developer but an error page kept coming up.

Problem with keyboard

Worked great until last update. Now the keyboard doesn't drop down so you can see what fabric size you need. Please fix!!

Poor testing

Product now has banner with links to social media accounts but NO LONGER WORKS. Can not get keyboard off screen to calculate. Support page is 404 error (does not exist)
Before I could even review I had to re download.

Quit working

I cannot see the results on my iPhone 6splus. The keyboard is in the way. Help???

Can't view the results

I just updated the app but I can't for the life of me get the keyboard to minimise so I can see the results. Please fix ASAP as the app is effectively useless without the results

Over 2 calculation wrong

Not useful if using linen or evenweave.

Was great, now inaccurate

Was great, now the "over 2" button no longer functions. I wasted $40 on a frame that is the wrong size thanks to this problem.

Very useful

Love this, makes finding fabric sizes a snap.

It does exactly what is

Saves time, help's me know just what size of fabric needed. Especially when you say change from 14ct Aida cloth to 32ct or higher evenweaves or linen. Also allows you to factor in what size border needs to be added.

Handy app

Simple yet exactly on task. Handy app to calculate what size to cut my fabric. Love it. Only improvement I would make is a numeric keypad, not a qwerty keyboard.
