Simple & Easy – Lacking Features
Very simple app with a narrow range of use cases. Within about 2 minutes, you can master just about everything there is to know and do with CrossFade Collage.
There’s nothing wrong with minimalism, but this app is lacking some basic functionality that significantly hurt its usefulness for my needs.
I wanted a simple tool to overlay an image over another image, with a slider control ranging from 0 to 100 for opacity or transparency adjustments. This app does not have that feature, which is surprising for something supposedly built for crossfading images.
I also needed a way to transform images to the edges of the canvas with precision, to perfectly align an image over another. This app functions more like freehand drawing; there seems to be no way to lock or snap images into specific orientations.
I uninstalled within about 4 minutes because it’s close to useless for my needs. With more development, this app could be more useful and I might reconsider it. I see some potential.
I would rate 3 stars, but since it was built specifically for image crossfading, I expected it would support some of the basic features I mentioned. The overall disappointment brings my rating to 2 stars.
Final Rating: ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆

I love it!
It’s a great app for editing for my fan account. I love it and will definitely be using it a lot.
Great idea Needs a bit more
I struggle between 3 and 4 stars. This is a neat and fun tool with quality results-but it takes some tinkering. I ding it one star for the clunkiness (e.g, starting a new collage is quicker to force close and layout is very basic) - for a free app, i wish i could take off only 1/2 star. I am taking off 1 additional star for several reasons. I love collage apps and having been hooked for several years, this one pales in comparison by lacking major features: 1) can’t choose photo albums or at least favorites. After painstakingly picking out your best or combining photos for a specific album, I’m not all thrilled at having to search using thumbprint size photos for the ones I want to collage 2) the lag in scrolling through photos is incredibly slow if you have a lot of photos 3) you can’t resize pictures 4) auto is cool, but then you can’t undo certain things once you’ve made a change 5) it needs to be able to add background color — grey won’t always cut it.

Simply genius
I was trying to put a few pictures together in one frame and this app came handy. I’ll be using it more I guess since I do lots of collages for multimedia purposes.
Like this app
However the set back for me ,you can’t remove results if you make a mistake. When that’s fixed I’ll give it 5 stars.
