Crosswind: Wind Calculator

A crosswind calculator that starts from the real report. Headwind or tailwind and crosswind in knots, labeled from left or right, for the steady wind and for the gust. A tailwind gets a plain red banner that names the other end of the runway. THE ROSE A drawn compass rose with the runway strip at its true heading, the wind arrow blowing in from its direction, and the wind broken into head and cross components from the field center. Tap it for the full-screen close-up. PERSONAL MINIMUMS Set your max crosswind and max gust factor, or save them per aircraft and switch with a tap. Every figure is green, amber from 80% of your limit, and red at it. The app grades; you decide. DENSITY ALTITUDE Field elevation, altimeter and temperature give pressure altitude and density altitude, with the ISA deviation and a plain note on what it means for performance.
