Save yourself
I have done multiple assignments for them.
There are more cons than pros. I have been payed for the assignments I’ve done, but there’s a huge lack of transparency and clear communication, it makes the process frustrating.
If you’re a creator, try your best to just work with the tourism boards directly. Trust me on this!
Also they told me I couldn’t create content for a specific tourism board because they wanted to see “other creators” but when they specifically needed black history month content, they wanted me to do it. 🚩

Pros and cons but worth it
I see a lot of reviews having bad experiences, and I do see the validity in them. I am a full time creator so side quest opportunities like this are pretty cool. I have been able to take on jobs in my state, as well as another state and travel. I am not fond of the fact that you have to front the costs typically for whatever the assignment is, I think the payout should actually be what you take home. Sometimes they can be picky about the content pieces, but honestly if you make quality content, and abide by the guidelines they provide, or ask questions when it’s not clear, it’s a pretty smooth and super easy side-gig.

Creators! You deserve better
I agree with the other reviews… Creators deserve better.
This company is NOT creator-first. They care about the brands (tourism boards) way more than they care about the creators who even make their business possible.
For starters, whoever approves the creative briefs clearly doesn’t write them, which causes unnecessary confusion, delays, and reshoots (reshoots are unpaid BTW.) Everything is on your own dime. They compensate you like $50 extra if the shoot requires extra cash to complete but only AFTER you go out and shoot. If you care so much about the shoot going perfect, please at least review the creative brief before you send it to creators.
One of the biggest red flags 🚩 is that you are not protected, even if you follow the brief to a T but they don’t like your content. Then you’re just out of luck. Wasted time, and even wasted money buying food, gas, props, entrance fees, etc.
You’re left out of the loop and all the blame falls on you when things go sideways, even if it’s not your fault.
I’ve been embarrassed a few times when I show up to a shoot location and introduce myself and go over the shot list, only for the manager/owner/marketing manager to tell me “this is inaccurate” or “we don’t even have xyz here, who provided you with this brief..?”
It’s a mess. I can’t recommend it.

Creators Beware
Warning Creators: I lost $1,000 because my assignments were not approved. The reason given was that my work ‘didn’t fit their aesthetic,’ which feels like discrimination against non-American creators. I invested significant time and money without receiving any compensation. DO NOT work with them, very passive aggressive and arrogance Company.

Beware
You’ll spend money just to earn money, and most times it’s not the return. They won’t provide full details on the shotlist and then say it’s not good enough when you submit. Don’t waste your time.
