So simple and intuitive
With just a basic understanding of installing trim this calculator takes ALL of the headache out of cutting your pieces for crown molding. (And if you’re confused by terms like fence, spring angle etc, the app tells you what each term means with a simple click over the word). And the image shows you the orientation of the saw to make sure your making the correct cuts. So much less waste compared to my previous crown projects before I downloaded this!

Useless
Only takes consideration if you are laying the molding flat and with a compound miter saw. Typically crown molding is flipped upside down with your choice of inner or outer cuts. This app does not give you the choice to pick what your setup is. Useless app.

This app is designed to simply cut crown molding and does not require users to flip molding upside down. The app allows you to pick inner or outer cuts and specifies putting either the top or bottom edge towards the fence. If you follow the instructions shown in the app it will produce the correct cuts for both inner and outer corners. The calculations in this app have been proven with users for nearly 10 years.

I’m relatively new to crown molding projects; used this app while doing a project in a small office space in my home. Older house and not a square corner to be had. This app rocked! Got me all the correct angled cuts quickly. Great support too; fast response to a question I had. Thank you!
No support for vaulted ceilings!
I should’ve looked closer at the description and realized that this is only for basic horizontal cuts. I don’t know why anyone would need a calculator for that. This is less than worthless to me.
Disappointed
Was expecting to be able to do basic functions such as vaulted ceilings. This is just as basic as anything you can find on google save your money.
