About

Cruise is a Zone 2 heart-rate coach for Apple Watch and iPhone. Zone 2 is the aerobic base zone — roughly 60 to 70 percent of your maximum heart rate. Training there builds mitochondria, raises your lactate threshold, and does most of the endurance work coaches want you to do. The catch: it feels almost too easy, and most people drift out of it without noticing. Cruise keeps you honest. Start a workout on your Apple Watch and Cruise shows a live heart-rate ring color-coded by zone. Stay in Zone 2 and the ring is calm and green. Drift too high and it goes red; drift too low and it fades. A short haptic every 30 seconds says "still in the zone," and a distinct tap alerts you when you've been out for 10 seconds. No sound, no talking, no screen you have to look at. The iPhone app is your history and setup. • Onboarding sets your maximum heart rate — either age-predicted (220 minus your age) or a value you enter yourself. • Home shows your most recent workout at a glance. • History shows every Zone 2 session, with a breakdown of time in each zone and a zone-by-zone chart. • Settings lets you change your max HR anytime; the new value pushes to your watch automatically. What Cruise does not do: • No accounts. No login. No cloud sync. • No ads, no tracking across other apps, no advertising identifier. • Your heart-rate data never leaves your devices. It is not sent to us or to any third party. This is enforced in code, not just promised. • No subscription today. Requirements: • iPhone running iOS 17 or later. • Apple Watch running watchOS 10 or later. • Permission to read your heart rate from Apple Health, and permission to save workouts back to Apple Health. Cruise saves finished workouts to Apple Health as "Other" workouts so they count toward your Activity rings and appear in the Fitness app. Privacy: your heart-rate data stays on your device. Anonymous crash reports and anonymous product-usage events are collected on the iPhone app only, so problems can be fixed and design decisions can be checked. No health data is included in any of that. Full policy: socialseasonclub.com/cruise/privacy
