Please add controller support. This game would be lovely with my cozy lil backbone

1 Year Later

Well, a year later and not much has changed. The weird gray box around the sloppily ported game is no longer there, which is a plus. The game is definitely too small for smartphones still, and the touchpad to navigate is small and fixed to one spot instead of being dynamic.

And yes, I still crashed on the tutorial island. Ultimately, Crunchyroll needs to release this game back to its devs so it can get the mobile release it deserves.

Absolutely Charming

Probably one of my new favourite games, super charming and humble. I want with all my heart to give it a 5/5 but it’s just sooooo bugged. Glitches everywhere that take away from the experience. Very similar to stardew valley. There’s lots of cases where random things will take the appearance of an entire sprite sheet, most commonly the map and player. Also just when things don’t appear at all. If it weren’t for that it would be 6/5 but I don’t think I can give it that with all the bugs.

Unplayable Currently

Could only get past the crop tutorial before the game froze on a brown-colored screen with no music. UI would benefit from different placement as well to better work with where the thumbs lie when holding the device.

I am unable to get past the character creation. Every time I finish the screen goes gray.

Works on iPad, not worth it

I downloaded this wanting to play a calm farming game. Crunchyroll vault mostly seemed to have fighting, romance, and or horror type games. And this seemed super interesting from the outset. However the controls are not great. They are stuck on one side of the screen and are not smooth. This makes getting through the tutorial an arduous task. And the gameplay itself gives the impression that this was an earlier foray into games for CR. Trite dialogue, and cutscenes. I’m fairly certain I gave this a chance previously on an iPad mini 2 and forgot, so this review is for me as much as it is for anyone else. Dated game with poor controls.

Fix it!

I really want to play it. It’s looks adorable and fun. But I press new game and get a black screen. And if I make it past that black screen the next selection. I may change my review of this gets worked on. Really a shame.

Needs a lot of work

OK, three main issues

1. Doses not utilize the full screen of my phone.

2. It not backbone compatible

3. No voice acting

Look if I am going to pay for a subscription for a game then I want a few basic things.

I want it to work with my preferred controller scheme

I want voice acting even if it’s AI acting.

Finally I want the game to be optimized to a reasonable degree.

Broken :(

Honestly seems like a wonderful game but was only a tutorial for me… When the character lands on the new island after completing the tutorial, screen goes grey and is unplayable. Doesn’t save so if I close and open again, my only option is to start the game again. Sad to play the tutorial twice to find out it wouldn’t work.

Wieso mit Crunchyroll Account??!

Spiel läuft und ist toll. Allerdings benötigt man zum Spielen einen Crunchyroll Account. Der kostet glaube ich 7 Euro pro Monat. Ich will ausschließlich dieses Spiel auf dem Handy spielen. Für PC besitze ich es. Wieso gibt es keine Möglichkeit, es einmalig zu kaufen. Deshalb nur zwei Sterne. Eigentlich nur einen. Sehr schade.

Genuine Question & the 1⭐️review is not an accurate rating as explained in the following:

Is there a certain network that you have to be connected to? Or is there something else in particular that is essential to do in order to play this game? I have been really wanting to test this out, but I can’t( very much) make it past selecting my creature companion. It has been presenting a blank dark screen instead of the game,with no sound every time I’ve attempted to play(probably well over 6x’s). This very last time I couldn’t finish the initial practice fight before it occurred again.
I haven’t been able to play in order to give a more honest review.(I had to pick a star to post)

Game crashes after tutorial

*EDIT* I have now tested the game on iPhone 16 pro, and while I am able to get past the tutorials and play normally, the phone overheats like crazy in a very short time. Also, controller support doesn’t seem to work. Please update soon! Once we get some optimization and controller support this game will be a solid 5 stars like it deserves!

I have played this game quite a bit on other platforms. I own it on PC and Nintendo Switch and have had a blast playing it. It is a great game. However, on iOS it crashes immediately upon leaving the tutorial island. I have given it three stars for being an awesome game that was badly ported to iOS. On top of that, the resolution on my iPhone 14 is terrible, it seems to Zoom the game out in a weird way to fit the screen. Also, no controller support, which is wacky for a game that originally launched on consoles. Please fix!

Grey screen almost every 10 mins

I’ve gotten a bit into the game, however the screen just turns grey or it stops being responsive , and my progress is ever saved. This is so frustrating because this is actually a nice game
