Beware new buyers of these rtfk shoes
I bout a pair of their RTFKT Cryptokicks irl on eBay for a pretty big price. Just to find out the app will not let me verify my email via the website it sends you to. Literally shows nothin to do with verification and you basically go back and forth in an endless look up getting emails sent to you with no help at all in terms of how to get verified so you ca control your sneakers lights. Why even do this in the first place. I’ve tried discord, twiter/x and even emailed them and still nothing.

The Future is Dead
I love this app and would look forward to its future if RTFKT wasn’t shutting down. Nike should open source this or let someone in the community take over development so we can continue to get updates and keep our sneakers working for years to come. Would love to see:
- More leaderboard functions and events.
- Apple Watch and shortcut features so we can do cool things like triggering the lights and lacing/unlacing based on Siri or shortcut buttons.
- Fix the broken wallet connection.
- Social feed to connect with other Cryptokick owners. Think Nintendo street pass.
- Minigames based on steps.
- Custom light shows.
- Care and troubleshoot FAQ since that part of the website is gone and you can only access through way back machine if you forget how to reset your stuck sneakers.
- Firmware updates to fix sneakers occasionally getting frozen up.
Seriously so much more could have been done. I’d have paid a subscription to keep this app going strong. A seriously missed opportunity Nike.
