Awful.

I passed my CSP but with no help from Pocket Prep. I used this tool for months and almost none of it was on the test. I highly recommend spending the money and purchasing the BCSP package. I purchased the BCSP package to get my ASP and I felt very prepared for that test and I was able to use that knowledge to get through the CSP exam. Pocket Prep was a complete waste of money and I highly suggest using a different tool.

Helpful but didn’t reflect CSP exam content very well

I was somewhat surprised that the CSP exam questions were not very much like the questions I saw in this app.

So Far So Good

I have started reviewing the App questions. It’s making know the areas that I need improvement. Thanks!!!

Well put together

I hope they update soon to meet the new CSP test questions.

Great App - Successfully Passed!

This app was a key tool in helping me pass the CSP exam on the first attempt. As mentioned by others, you shouldn’t study just one source, however the diversity of questions allowed me to identify areas that I needed to explore for further review. Money well spent. Once you start scoring in the 80 percentile consistently, you’re ready.

Did not help me

I used the app to study for CSP as well as book by David Yates. I failed twice. I’ve been having to wait 6 weeks to re-take. SPAN is where it’s at. Don’t waste your money on this app.

🤞🏽hopefully it’s as good as the ASP Version

This app just uses regurgitated questions from the ASP version. Did the developer even take the CSP exam because none of the practice questions from this app were even on the latest CSP blueprint? Yes. I took the exam and past it but with no help from this app. It was a waste of money for me.

Response from developer

Hi MJ! 👋 Thanks for being the first one to review our new CSP app! We're proud to finally offer it to our loyal customers after nearly 16 months of curriculum development. As you may already know, all Pocket Prep apps share the same code base, which means all of our apps will look and feel the same. We do this to keep our development costs down and we pass those savings on to our customers. Because the ASP and CSP exams are so closely aligned, we were able to repurpose 70 math-based questions from ASP for use in this curriculum. The other 530 questions offered in this app are unique to the CSP exam. It's worth noting that many safety professionals have used our ASP app to successfully prepare for both exams, thus we feel the overlapping math questions will not hamper your CSP study experience one bit. You can reach out to us directly if you'd like to discuss our approach to content creation or if you have specific questions pertaining to our new CSP curriculum. We appreciate your support and would love for you to reconsider your review. It would be most unfortunate for aspiring CSP's to miss out on an affordable study opportunity due to a misleading review. Thanks again!

Useless

This review covered next to nothing that was on the exam. After using this app to study I felt grossly unprepared when I sat for my exam.

Well

As some reviews state...almost all the questions come from one book. The CSP exam uses multiple sources for exam questions.

The other thing is MANY of these questions are the exact same as the ASP app. Had I known that I would not have purchased this one and purchased Bowen instead.

Worthless, and Expensive

Literally the same stuff as the ASP just costs more. I got the full blown app two weeks before my test in July of 19. First most of the material is identical to the ASP app, add to that less than 10% was relevant to the test.

Get it already.

This is the best bang for buck you can spend for ASP or CSP. I passed both on the first try. For ASP I also had datachem but only used this and reading brauer and Yates for CSP.

Great study aid!

I bought the ultimate version/license of the Pocket Prep app in preparation for the CSP examination. It was a very helpful study aid and well worth the money. However, like any good safety pro preparing for the exam, I would not rely on it as the sole resource for studying but rather use it as a supplement. After I was scoring about 80% on the Pocket Prep practice exams (100 questions at a time), I took the CSP and passed on the first attempt. Thank you, Pocket Prep! Now onto the CIH.

Ok for what it is

It was nice to have questions available in my pocket, but the source for at least half of the CSP questions (I have seen all 600) is the same book, and it is from 2015. No CSP would use such a small number of sources to develop a body of knowledge. This app also has quite a bit of content that is not on the exam (I am not going to provide specifics there). This app also logs me out every time I download an update to the app.

Bowen EHS has a good product, but I benefited most from attending the SPAN International CSP workshop and taking their online tests. I passed the CSP exam.

Great Test review

The app makes is so easy to study throughout the day at any given time. I feel like I’m constantly preparing for the CSP exam while having this app so easily and readily available!

An annoying bug, otherwise great app

When I try to get the question of the day, the app says I've already answered it! Huh?
Otherwise, a very convenient study tool.
