Unreliable, buggy
Can’t link Heise+ abo consistently, downloads fail, issue read doesn’t work. Horrible.
C't and others
I really enjoy the ability to read c't via my mac but I really would like it the company would focus a bit on usability across products. I am not very happy to install for each magazin a different app. Why can't there by an app that enables me to read at least Xi and CT? Maybe this is something that could be considered. There will be some cost saving to maintain only one app vs x-timens. :)

Benutzerführung von Unix Entwicklern - so fühlt sich das an. Die App wurde seid Jahren nicht weiterentwickelt.

The download of a ct magazine takes ages.
Way to long, and lots of interrupts too. No matter how fast and stable your connection is. And they dont change and think its ok . Maybe they want to make the print magazine more interesting?

Good App
Pretty good app as far as magazine apps go. The download of issues within the app could be faster. The c‘t magazine is top notch - if I didn’t speak German already I‘d have to learn it just to be able to read it.

Das Layout in HTML Ansicht auf iPhone bei Ausgaben die runtergeladen worden sieht auf einmal grauenhaft aus. Please fix!
Terrible app lacking support
One of the worst probably even the worst app I use. Downloads almost never succeed, slow even on the fastest hardware. Bugs never gets fixed,

Seit über 20 Jahren lese ich die ct. Seit letztem Jahr habe ich mein Abonnement auf die elektronische Version umgestellt, da ich in Australien wohne und somit hoffte die Ausgaben günstiger und schneller zu bekommen. Außerdem tut es auch der Umwelt gut weniger Papier und Transport in Anspruch zu nehmen.
Leider ist die App des Heise Verlages eine Zumutung. Obwohl ich daheim Filme von mehreren Gigabytes innerhalb von Minuten runter laden kann schafft es die Heise App nicht einmal ein paar Megabyte in der gleichen Zeit zu laden. Ein CDN sollte hier schnelle Abhilfe schaffen.
Des weiteren macht die App Probleme mit dem Offline Lesen. Obwohl mir die App anzeigt, dass eine ct Ausgabe vollständig runter geladen wurde kann ich die Ausgabe dann nicht offline lesen. Das ist ja wohl das Mindeste was ich hier erwarten könnte.
Wenn es der Heise Verlag schon nicht schafft eine funktionierende App anzubieten hätte ich wenigstens erwartet, dass er die Ausgaben per Amazon anbieten kann. Immerhin kann ich das 2600 Magazin so ohne Probleme lesen. Das Magazin ercheint vierteljährlich und kostet nur ein paar Dollar.
Ich frage mich wirklich warum ein Verlag der über Computertechnologien berichtet so schrecklich veraltete und unzumutbare Technik einsetzt...

Unglaublich
Ich habe kürzlich von einer älteren auf die neue Version ge-updated und bin total schockiert. Nicht nur, daß das Update alle Daten erneut von Heises Server geladen hat (= 2 Stunden), der Download des neuesten Heftes dauerte ewig, die PDF Ansicht zeigt im Portrait-Modus nicht die volle Seite an, man kann auch nicht herauszoomen um dies zu erreichen. Der Landscape-Modus zeigt nur einen Ausschnitt der Seite an, die so nützliche Doppelseiten-Ansicht scheint es nicht mehr zu geben — dieses Update war ein voller Reinfall. Ich überlege mein Abo auf ein PDF Abo umzustellen und in Zukunft c’t dann auf Goodreader zu lesen

Vermeiden!
Die neueste Version ist leider noch schlechter als die alte. Das Herunterladen aus dem Ausland funktioniert trotz guter Bandbreite nur noch widerwillig. Hoch scrollen auf einer Seite scrollt fast immer auf die naechsten Seite.
Beim Upgrade gehen wieder alle bereits geladenen Hefte verloren.
Mit Support telefoniert, und vom Webkiosk nun die PDF Versionen der c't geladen.

Beim Laden der Inhalte ist ein Fehler aufgetreten
App ist immer noch instabil und ohne Newsstand Integration, aber wenigstens nutzbar. Größtes Ärgernis: im Querformat hindert ein schwarzer Balken (Darstellungsfehler) auf der Rechten Seite massiv die Sicht. Somit ist nur das Hochformat halbwegs nutzbar.

The new update crashes all the time on an iPad Air with iOS 8.1. Please check. Don't know about previous versions of iOS.
Buggy
It's great this app is now compatible with iPhone. Adaption to iPhone screen is been done very well. However app crashes every time I switch to app when it's in background.
Crash without any chance to retrieve purchased issues
After installing the app it crashes every single time when started. With over 10 purchased issues it is frustrating not to have any access to the content that I have paid for. Reinstalling the app does not bring any relief and e-mails to the support team remain unanswered. For a computer magazine that is often very critical with the products and service provided by other companies in the IT business this is very disappointing. I give the app a one because I simply can’t get it to work.

Huge improvement
I had no issues upgrading to this version. Yes, all former downloads are gone but I was so surprised how much faster the download works. I am here in China and usually it took me hours to download one issue. This morning it took me not even 15min to get it.
I like the whole new layout and everything. It's really a huge improvement.

Improved usability
A great improvement in usability - reading is much more convenient now, and the update makes the content more accessible on the iPad mini as well, as there is no more need to constantly zoom in and out for reading (please update the Mac&i app as well…). It may not be as fancy and playful as some other digital magazines, but it does its job perfectly well if all you want is to read the magazine properly on the iPad.
Last think missing now is a subscription option that makes subscribing a bit cheaper than buying individual editions.

Geht nicht
App findet die Inhalten nicht, hat eine Token Fehler und stürzt dann reproduzierbar ab. Super alle Hefte weg.
New Version crashes
I really looked forward to this new version, but after the update, all my downloaded editions were gone. Why would an app update also delete all the downloaded magazines? Aren't they in a separate directory? With the old version it took forever just to download 1 issue.
After going to settings and checking my subscription info, which was still present, I clicked on confirm subscription. It asked me for my apple ID twice?? Then it crashed. Have not been able to start the app since, even after reboots and the 10 sec hard reset.
App useless right now and I was 3 issues behind, on the road for the next few days and nothing to read. Very disappointing.
Please fix this soon!!! Miss my CT's
