A really worthless use of $4.99

This app did nothing to help me finda casa particulars in Cuba. The information is old and outdated and there is very little information to help guide the user.

According to a study, for every customer who complains, 26 others remain silent That means that a bad review from a good customer is a genourous gift that can help to make changes to the app, and ultimately make a lot more customers happy :)

Excellent app

I have used this app twice now to find casa when I went to Cuba. It’s the most comprehensive listing of hostels and it allows you to contact them directly rather than through a booking service which will charge you additional fees. Sometimes a lot more fees and the money does not go to the families. It’s not always perfectly updated but then neither is anything else to do with Cuba. The small amount you pay to buy the app will last you forever and it’s an excellent resource. I’m using it right now to plan another trip.

This is a scam as far as I’m concerned

I paid, downloaded the app and sent my casa particular submission since January 4th. I’m still waiting for the place to be added to the Casas particulares inventory. I contacted the people in charge a week after I downloaded the app and I got an answer that they would add my place whenever they work on my geographical area. I tried contacting them again about a month later in February and didn’t get any answer and it’s March 8th and I’m still waiting.

It’s great for what it is

I think the low reviewers are expecting more out of this app than is reasonable. No it’s not a fancy piece of software. Some Dutch tourists who have visited Cuba and happen to have minimal ability in creating an app made a VERY useful directory. I haven’t found a listing this straightforward of the Casas and other tourist info for Cuba anywhere else. They’ve provided a service, and for my that was worth the $5.

I don’t recommend this app because it is so simple and do not have this and this. I lost my money...

Not practical

You can't even search for availability so you have to contact each one. Just a list that he can't guarantee. It would be nice to know that he knew the hosts and that the accommodations are safe and clean. Etc. not sure if that's the case since he says he relies on our reviews to tell him there are issues.

This was the least helpful app ever. There was just a long list of casas with telephone numbers and no prices. I'm in the US, how am I supposed to call a bunch of international numbers just to figure out how much they charge? This was ridiculous.

Yes that is correct :) a Casa Directory is a directory ... a long list of casas all over Cuba. Seperated by provinces and cities. Besides the addresses and phone numbers, email addresses and other info too. Last but not least, you support the locals by buying the app. Cubans do not have to pay commission or any other fee, the directory is free for them.
