很久沒更新
Cubiio很可惜，出了2代後，一代的App也不更新了，甚至Android版也無法使用了…相較之下啄木鳥硬體跟軟體都持續更新
Waiting an hour for email verification!
I bought this waste of money on Kickstarter and now that it has been 3 years I figured I would try it again. Hoping the software has improved.
Well. I go to fire up my Cubiio and it DEMANDS an email verification. No bypass. No workaround. And this email still has not come through in about 1 hour. During that time my phone has to stay within 1 meter of this brick or it loses contact and I have to start the process over. All of their emails get stuck in spam processing
What a piece of junk. Forced email verification on a hardware tool that I own!? No stars for you.

Adequate
I’ve had this since it first came out but am making my first production run of an item. For the most part it does a good job and there are other reviews with excellent wish lists including a desktop version of the app. What I find super annoying is having to type in my security code for every burning run. If I’m using repeat to cut the same thing over and over, or frankly if I haven’t left the app or it hasn’t been idle for a long time I shouldn’t have to do that. At least make it an option with another giant disclaimer like expert mode.

Good app
It’s a great app but could we get some updates? Like being able to add txt to an image or add preset stickers. The drawing function is cool but there’s a lot more that could be done with that space.

A black box shows up after downloading a picture to Cubiio And it doesn’t go away!!
Awesome, will get even better
The app and hardware are FAR better than my expectations - this is easily the best Kickstarter project I've backed. The device & shield are very well designed and constructed. I haven't tried using it outside the shield (e.g. with the tripod).
Here are some tips that I learned:
- For BMP, you can't use a custom palette. Use one of the color depths they say on their web site, and use a full grayscale palette. If you use a custom palette, the device may convert it to grayscale and use the wrong colors for all pixels in your image. In my case, I engraved something that didn't resemble my original image, and another thing that was all black before figuring it out.
- As stated on the web site, BMP is 254dpi (10px/mm; 100px/cm). Plan accordingly. Don't expect to be able to download random images from the internet on your phone (e.g. gifs with custom palettes) and have them draw properly.
- It is MUCH faster to put images onto the micro SD via your computer rather than sending over bluetooth from your phone. It is nice that the included micro SD card comes with an SD adapter.
- Don't try to access the SD card in the app when there is no SD card in the device. The device will error and need to be restarted. (They can probably fix this with software.)
Here's my wish list:
- Desktop app - would love to be able to control this from a computer instead of tying up my phone.
- Make the Cubiio beep when you turn it on or off with your finger. My finger always blocks the LED, so it's hard to see if on/off worked.
- Have some way to preview what the image may look like in the app. This would solve issues with understanding BMP color palettes, etc. The app could also simply validate images before allowing you to run them.
- As stated on the web site, file names for images must be <= 8 characters. I had some images that mysteriously didn't show up in the app - maybe this is why? Either way the 8 character limit is very non-obvious, and a little nonsensical.
- Polish the phone app a bit.

我是ios9.3.3的用戶，不能操作此app，我只能去找有iphone7或8的朋友借用他們的手機連線雕刻機qq我相信目前還是有很多iphone用戶停留在ios9上（iphone5.5s.6.6s），希望下次改版可以支援ios9
