• iPhone Duo: stand the phone half-open on a table while you watch, and the picture moves to the top half with a remote below it. Play and pause, change channel or skip in a film, and open tabs such as Info, Guide and Browse; the Guide shows what is on now, next and later on every channel of the group, and Search keeps the picture playing above the keyboard. • iPhone Duo, held any other way: flat, open wide or closed, the same remote now sits over the picture, and held like a book, the picture takes one page and the remote the other. For films, skip 10 seconds, change the speed, and choose audio and subtitles. On the table the lower half glows softly in the picture's colours; Settings › Player can keep it black, keep the player full screen or keep the player controls visible. Open wide, the app's tabs (Home, Channels, Search …) move to a column at the side, with the mini player at its foot. • Ask Curio finds a channel from part of its name, even a broadcaster's name in it, forgives a typo, and when no channel has that exact name it can list the closest ones and says so. A playlist you add now reaches Search, Ask Curio and Siri without a refresh or a relaunch, and a deleted one leaves them shortly after. • Film pages show the cast and director the first time you open them when CurioPlay is sure of the match (the title and year agree, or you picked it with Fix Match), with photos where there are some. A match you fix now stays fixed and updates at once, and a film no longer picks up a TV channel's details. TV guide: with two or more playlists that each have a guide, every channel shows its own playlist's programmes in the player, on Home, in the TV Guide and in the widget, and guides always download fresh. • Your provider: if it gives you a new server or login, change the server, username and password in Edit Source & EPG…, and after you replace a playlist, your favourites come back with their channels. A channel your provider no longer lists leaves Home, Siri, Spotlight and the widget; in your favourites and channel lists it is marked "No longer in your playlist" instead of failing to play, and it comes back if your provider lists it again. A film keeps one connection to your provider while you skip around in it, and closing it ends that connection. Opening a series no longer sends your provider a request for every episode. CurioPlay now paces its requests to your provider and no longer keeps retrying a login your provider refused. Also: very large libraries use far less memory; a film you are downloading now finishes and appears in Downloads even if iOS closes CurioPlay in the background, and downloads waiting their turn are kept; channel groups named 24/7 stay in Channels even when their name also says VOD, Movies or Cinema (after the next refresh); Top 10 Channels shows live channels only; counts read "1 result", not "1 results"; stability fixes. The Lock Screen shows the live channel's own name. On the Lock Screen, skipping in a film now starts from where you are.
