Idiot game

The computer is overpowered. It is on the same level as his holiness the dalai lama

Fun but not realistic.

This app is fun, but in real life you can’t sweep the ice 2 times and magically change a rock from a high guard to a control weight takeout. You also can’t take out 2 rocks that are touching by hitting the first one in the nose— only the back one should move, not both (energy transfer). It’s an entertaining and enjoyable app for sure, but not good practice for realistic curling strategy if that is what you are looking for.

Good curling game with huge potential.

Update1: WOW! Thank you for adding 8 stones per end, 5 stones free guard zone and make little improvement of AI (especially playing more runbacks) and physics.
You deserved 5 stars.

In my opinion this points have now high priority to be in the next update(s):
- "Learn" AI making blank ends (now it makes draw even when the house is fully empty, it's not realistic) and try to make AI more rational calls. There are examples when AI behaves irrational:
* I have hammer and 1 stone in the house and AI sometimes calls draw and I takeout this stone out after and score easy 2.
Right call is to takeout my only stone in the house (but not in the last end or when AI is down by more points than play guard or freeze depends on situation)
* AI has stone in 4ft. has no hammer and this stones is only one stone in the play. So call should be play guard to this stone (or split the house to force me to score 1, depends on situation), but AI now play another stone to the house close to his own stone and gives me opportunity to play easy double takeout

- Physics is what makes curling game good or not good. And this game still has not good takeout physics, opposite of this is draw physics which is really good.
Biggest problem of the takeout physics is that after hitting the stone to the nose your shot stone still going forward.
And you are able to takeout perfectly freezed stone in the wierd way hitting them like there are only one stone! It's ok to takeout freezed stones but not in this crazy way.

- Add offline multiplayer. Even this is one of the few curling games where is challenging to play against AI (on hard difficult in professional mode), offline multiplayer still be wanting.
I would like to play against my real life teamate from our team in this game to improve his knowledge about curling strategy and now there is no option to do this.

- Give player the "weight column" blanked because now it's pretty easy to hit the button with preset weight which is exactly set to the tee line.

Other advices has been updated in my first review below and has been written by big letters.

Review:
One of the best curling game on AppStore, but needs little improvement.
There are my tips to improve this game.

High priority:
- 8 stones per end for each team! (DONE)
- Free guard zone (5 stones - new rule)! (DONE)
- Improve takeout physics (stones look too heavy and dont make roll after hitting/takeout the other stone as easy as in real curling). (STILL NEEDS LITTLE IMPROVEMENT)

Middle priority:
- Make AI blank the end if throwing last stone and there is only one opposite stone (of course not in the last end) or no stone in the house. (HIGH PRIORITY NOW)
- Try to improve accuracy of AI because now missed almost every runback even at the highest difficulty. AI needs a lot of improvements because now it's easy to beat AI (AI STILL NEEDS LITTLE IMPROVEMENT, MAKING NO BLANK ENDS AND DOING SOME IRRATIONAL CALLS).
- Add multiplayer (offline/online), that should be amazing (OFFLINE MULTIPLAYER SHOULD HAVE HIGH PRIORITY NOW). :)
- Add "training mode" where you can place stones as you want and you can try shoots you want there.

Low priority:
- Add mixed doubles matches.
- Add countries/teams which you can play (and editor for creating own if possible).
- Draw shoot challenge before match to decide who will have hammer in the first end (NEW)

Response from developer

Again, thank you so much for the feedback. We are glad you found the updates to be an improvement. We will continue working on your suggestions, especially improving the physics, but also improving AI and including offline multiplayer, in addition to your previous tips. We appreciate your interest and valuable insight. Thank you!

Great game

Does not have 2 player mode
But besides that it is awesome

Response from developer

Thank you so much for the positive response. We are looking to include an offline two player mode in the next release, and are hoping to include online multiplayer once the number of users justifies doing so. Thanks!

Always looking for a new curling game.

I prefer TheLastRock still.

No need for good graphics in a curling game. The physics and angles are what a curler is looking for, and I wasn’t happy with how the stones reacted in this version. It is very wrong.
Sometimes they’d even bounce backwards.
Not a fan of holding my phone sideways, and the delivery method wasn’t hard enough.

Thank you so much for the feedback. We are definitely still working on getting the physics right. In the meantime, I am sure TheLastRock is a wonderful game. Thanks!
