What's New in Custom Alerts

v2.12

April 27, 2026

Updates app for iOS 26 and fixes bug where the bottom of calendar names sometimes got cut off.

User reviews

Can set alerts when YOU want them.

This is a very useful app. If you want to set an alert reminder the night before an appointment or you need three hours to prepare for something (not 2) or you know you will need more than a 1 week reminder to shop and mail a gift to get it there, this is for you.

There was an issue with numbers and time intervals not showing but the developer has fixed that.

You can modify any Calendar event notification by tapping on the event in this app or you can create a new event and time in this app, then tap the + to choose and set the custom alert interval. If you need to add Repeat, Invitees, etc., tap Edit Event from the Set Alert page to get the full iOS/iPadOS event edit page. It all goes to the iOS/iPadOS Calendar. Very helpful app!

Can’t see to use it

When I go into the event to update the alert I cannot see anything other than set alert. On part of the screen I can “feel” a dial spinning which I assume is changing the time. But I can’t see anything. App is basically useless

Great app

I love this app, it's such a helping hand for me

Calendar alert app does not fully integrate

App allows custom alert settings which are much better than the constraining ones in Calendar, but does not fully integrate: you need to go into i-calendar, find your appointment, then go into the app, pull it up and set alert. Once done your choice will appear in i-calendar, but no adjustments are possible, you need to go back in the app . Very cumbersome, think I will delete it.
