Test your apps ...
If I assign a colour set to some individual keys, then save the keyboard, it will remember the key border colour, and background. But it will not save the key character colour, and defaults back to white.
I don’t type fast, but if I double-tap a key to get 2 T’s (for example), I only get 1 T. So I end up with “Aps”, instead of “Apps”, “Batery” instead of “Battery”. It makes typing very slow, and I need to keep looking to see if the keyboard has done what I wanted.
Surely you tested the app, before putting it on the App Store???
Also… double tapping the space-bar will not put a full stop followed by a space. It also doesn’t auto-correct spelling. I’m not expecting this app to perform miracles, but if Apple can do it, there must be a way for your keyboard to do it too??
Overall, the app is great, and possibly good for privacy (I really want to like it). But at the moment, the iOS keyboard is far better for usability. That kinda defeats the object of your app.
Btw, your Big Keyboard is no better. Yes, I bought both of them. £6 wasted, at the moment.
Response from developer
Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for trying my apps. I really appreciate you pointing out the issues and areas for improvement. I’ll be fixing the reported bugs and also working on improving the keyboards’ performance so that typing feels faster and more fluid. Regarding auto-correction, my keyboards don’t automatically change words on purpose – instead, they offer suggestions so that you always stay in control of what you type. As an indie developer working alone, I test my apps carefully, but of course it’s hard to cover every single case the way a team of developers could. I hope you’ll give the app another chance after the upcoming updates.
Love it
