Useful app
Really like the app, easy to use and offers opportunity to enter title and description of project. My project used 3 different wood materials so I entered each as a different project and named them part 1, 2, and 3. Not sure if you can enter different materials in one project. Therefore 4 stars instead of 5. Do recommend the app as it is very useful and well worth the price.

Fantastic App! Not as $$ greedy as the newer ones
I’ve been using this app since 2016 and I’m so happy that it’s still runs on my devices. I’ve used it on many projects and continue to do so the are amazing and it’s so easy to use compared to some of the other products out there which requires subscription.
Nice but glitchy
This app is fairly basic, would be nice if it were able to create cuts for different wood thicknesses without having to create a new list for every size. But it’s something and the price is right.

this is the app that big box stores should be using to help customers not waste their wood. Where you are charged after 6 cuts what if you don’t really need it? I like knowing how many projects are potentially in this purchase
Super helpful - needs a few tweaks
I have used this for several years now. This app does all of the math and space planning in seconds that would take me at least an hour on paper.
Minor frustrations- sometimes just by changing the description of the cut or the material (long dimension vs short dimension first) I find that the plan creates more or less waste. I have to delete and change the descriptions to find a better, less wasteful plan.
Related frustration - descriptions can’t be edited; cuts have to be deleted and re-entered. Cuts also cannot be batch deleted but deleted separately. It’s annoying but not a deal breaker.
I love how easy printing the plans is. I just put the cut plans printout on my clipboard, and we’re off!

Very useful
Use this all the time very useful for mdf cutting lists
Awesome!
With wood prices up this app is essential for reducing waste. Love everything about it. One small issue for me is the area isn’t as smart as it could be. For example swapping dimensions to make a piece fit instead of going to a new board. Not a big deal just something to look out for
Can’t print won’t print
Great app it’s simple to use and I like it a lot. However the print function fails every single time crashing the app. It should convert the layout into pdf and print accordingly… it used to work and now it simply fails. Please fix it
Crashes
Crashes when I try to export file or to print. Does not auto save work. Bottom of calculator disappears after entering first dimensions. A chore to use.
Does not work from stock on the shelf it would appear.
Works great for my linear cut lengths but I can see not way to enter in the quantity of variable stock lengths that I have on the shelf. It assumes that I will buy the lengths that I have entered should the cut list require more.
App has some use if I am using full lengths but a shopping list to me defeats the object of optimising what I have in stock.

PDFs creation not working
When trying to create a pdf for printing I just get a blank page, making it worthless if I can't leave a printed cut list with the timber merchant.
I emailed the developer, but 20 days later still no reply..... VERY POOR SERVICE

Time saver
Just a few minutes of your time on this App saves you a lot of money and wasted effort as you can plan your cuts with minimal wastage. Great. Interface needs a little updating, would like the ability to increase or decrease quantity of an existing design rather than have to input measurements again and then enter the number of pieces..minor point.

Worked until iOS 14.
Will not open in iOS 14. Not good when I have a bunch of projects saved. Before that it was 5 stars. I hope they fix.
Great for Beginner Woodworkers
Let’s me maximize my materials by planning out most efficient cuts. Have used on several projects and let’s me know when I am short with only having to worry about the measurements of my final piece.
Generates accurate cut list
Calculator app exceeded expectations. It is a simple to use tool. It provided an accurate cut list.
It’s Fair, cannot read all the numbers on the layout
It is pretty straight forward but one you have your layout plan it is very difficult to read the dimensions. And if you print it out it is a very small printout that you can barely read. And it cuts off numbers. I’m trying a different app
Waste of money
I guess this is another app that gets its reviews from a review farm. It’s UI is not well thought out. The algorithm that lays out the cuts is not accurate - it is, in fact, the worst I’ve used. It’s only good feature is the ability to mix metric with imperial.
If you’re looking for an app to efficiently layout your cuts this ain’t it.
