a great utility
as a film/tv editor I use this app constantly, during viewings, to be able to take precise notes, or to send notes to directtors or producers. simple, fast friendly !
Functional but too raw
The idea is great and it does it basically. Good.
Graphics are a pain though. Lists and projects must be more colorful for better orientation. (See Notability App i.e.)
Navigation design is so uncomfortable that everytime I start using this app again I have to reorientate for the most basic navigation. Dev should work more on usability tweaks and updates for the price.
Auto cloud sync & handwriting notes with apple pencil should be implemented. Looking forward to future updates. Thanks.

An app every editor should have
As a film and tv editor I use this app a lot. Taking notes without leaving the screen is really neat.
Actually every producer should have it as well, we'd hear less things like "oh, I must have missed it, I was writing down something"...

Ingenius and invaluable
If you want to take notes about a video with timecode, whether it's in Avid, Final Cut or Premiere, look no further.

Great super helpful app, but...
This app is great and very useful. Definitely the best time code note app out there! My only complaint is that is sometimes crashes and when it does it loses sync with the time code! Hopefully this sometimes fatal flaw will be fixed soon!
Normally a great app - now a bit of a mess
This has been a really useful and clever app. Latest update has broken Dropbox export for me. Settings for Dropbox and Kollaborate seems to be swapped about and now non functioning. Disappointed.

Buggy and missing useful features
I was actually using this on set to take live continuity notes for a reality show. It very often gets slow to the point of being unusable and has to be killed and restarted. Also there is no way to export an entire project at once. You must do it "cut" by "cut." It would also be nice to have the option to stack short cut keys. Right now, I believe that you can only do that by double tapping one and tapping another within 1.5 seconds. It would be nice to have an option to mot be limited by that time so you could double tap one and then tap several others until you press return. It could be a really useful app. The slow downs and bugginess are the main issues though. Also, if exporting plain text to dropbox it's just one big continuous block of text which is useless. If exported to email or clipboard, it's fine.

Beware!
This app is advertised to work seamlessly with CinePlay, by the same developer, however you need to have two iPads for it to work.
Without two devices, the app is useless - why would you use a timecode marker system that has no visual playback? The integration should be possible on one device or a clear alert of requirement of two devices should be posted in applications description.
I regret buying this application, it was a complete waste of money.

No exporta xmls
Si pretendes exportar xml, piensa que es un timo. Solo exporta archivos de texto. Ni siquiera comprando el plugin que te venden por separado para Mac podrás utilizar el documento que te exporta ( a no ser que te hagas tu propio convertidor de plain text a xml.) Tiene las opciones, sí, de exportar xml para fcp7, Fcpx y otros pero no funcionan ninguna de ellas.

Doesn't Work
This app doesn't work as advertised and doesn't provide syncing between FCPX and the app. It also removes the ability for other apps like ProCutX from working. Avoid purchasing.
Great app
I have been using this app for a few weeks and I find it to be a great tool so far with some minor tweaks it will be much better. It is worth the investment.
Good functionality, but buggy performance
For an app to be used professionally, it has to be stable. The functionality of this app is great, but it has crashed on me a half dozen times already, causing me to lose (a bit of) work each time, plus then have to reset the midi connection so that i can sync with FCP. This is unacceptable in the long run. I hope that the developers are able to stabilize this app, because when it works, it's great.

Great app! Please add taking picture function.
The app is awesome. But please add feature to take picture when making notes. That will be very handy when review long form work, like features or tv series.

Diese Programm hat mir das durchsehen und von Rough Cuts sehr vereinfacht. Vorbei sind die Zeiten wo man versucht während des guckens die nötigen Änderungen UND den Timecode zu notieren. Alles schön schnell und einfach durch antippen der vorher vorbereiteten Schaltflächen… und dass man das am Ende dann noch an den Avid oder Final Cut 7 schicken kann - grossartig…
Damit ist allein diese App für Editor ein Argument für den Kauf eines iPads.

First impressions
Only just started to use this. Seems to work well but would love to be able to double click on one of the preset notes to add my own comments to an existing generic description.
Awesome but small changes could make awesome
This product is definitely worth it's value. I am a television producer and it has significantly helped once I get to post. I can email my notes and it take 3 minutes to get the locators into the system. My only suggestion is with the note tabs. I would like to get a generic note. Ie. "Good take of girl" and then add a qualify note of "laughs and snorts after trip". Right now if I want to make extra notes it erases the words "good take of girl". It should just add after that. Also I would love to see a new version that will be able to send video from my camera as well. So it works as a portable monitor. With those two things that would be perfect and I'm sure will become a man stay for field producers everywhere!!!! Thank you for making such a great product.

Great program, has some bugs.
If your a for-realsie film editor, this program along with AC-7, are all the reason you ever need to buy an iPad.
I don't know what it is with this program and titles, but... Titling versions and cuts is buggy. This is just annoying. The bad is when importing markers into FCP 7, the XML loses any carriage return in a standard title. So you need to either use those sequences as reference or be prepared to repast any titles.
This tool is still AWESOME. Digital Rebellion already has a iPhone remote app. They need add a play button here, and have the option to read T.C. from the machine. Or minimally a way to manually re-sync the t.c.
Another wish would be slightly smaller buttons that where organized under columns. I'd replace too loud and too low for just "mix note" or "Mix!"
Also it should record audio while timecode is running.
