What’s going on

I’ve used this app since 2017 and it was the main app i used for editing, but for MONTHS it’s been glitching out?? It won’t let me upload videos because it will be stuck on the loading screen and when i close out of the app, it won’t even let me open the project. I always have to turn my phone completely off and turn it back on, which is rediculous. I looked at recent reviews and it seems like i’m not alone in this. I really thought it’s something wrong with my phone, but it’s actually the app. Is this a way to force users to buy the pro app??
