I’ve used the app for several years I even pay for the subscription. If your total sheet Goods is over 9 sheets you cannot see or scroll over to see the 10th sheet. Also, if you have all your parts put in and then you need to delete one or two it glitches and changes the part name and the measurements on the previous parts

Awsome app
The app is really great ! Just if the sec could had the décimal separator because we can’t change it on iPhone, and maybe add an option for materials like laminate for laminate strip
Frustrating
So what is the point of paying for a subscription if data doesn’t survive one single year,
I had a project going on last summer, all data entered;
I pick it up a year later after keeping up the subscription,
project names still exist, but all data is gone, awesome.

Excellent app - great service
I’ve been using this app for about 4 years. I use the paid version so I can increase my numbers of parts which helps a lot to minimise wastage.
I also love the pdf feature which allows me to export my cutlist as a pdf so I can mark them off as I work.
I did the latest update and the app stopped working. I emailed support and within 30 minutes Jon had responded and solved the issue and the app works perfectly again.
I’m sure there are other apps but I wouldn’t switch after the level of customer support I received.

Die App ist sehr praktisch, allerdings funktioniert nur immer die erste „Berechnung“
Diese dauert nur eine Sekunde, aber sobald man etwas ändern oder ergänzen will rechnet sich die App zu Tode.
Handy neustarten funktioniert auch nicht. So leider unbrauchbar

Great app a new update took away a crucial feature
This app has saved me countless dollars in product and time cutting parts and pieces for cabinetry and furniture I make.
However, apparently in the new update, you cannot use voice dictation. That made answering in all of my measurements extremely quick. I’m not sure why that feature went away. Please bring it back, cut list optimizer!!

Saves time/money
I use this tool often, always when I’m building something. It helps me figure out how to get the most out of my material and how much material I will need which is a huge time saver. The monthly subscription price is extremely reasonable and in the winter when I’m not building, I don’t have to subscribe. I do wish there was a yearly subscription price though. Probably one of the most useful apps I have for woodworking currently.

It’s not actually CutList Optimizer
This is described in the App Store as CutList Optimizer V2, but it’s actually Smart Cut, which is actually an inferior product that doesn’t allow metric measurements and is not the same experience. It’s probably okay if you’ve never used the ORIGINAL CutList Optimizer, but otherwise, stick with the real CutList Optimizer V1

Thanks for your feedback. The tool definitely allows metric measurements, they are the default setting. If you wanted support we have live chat and could have quickly helped. Just for info, the ‘Cutlist Optimizer’ you’re referring to is a Chinese copy of an Android app, they do not have an iOS version, just check their app information. We have benchmarks which show we’re significantly faster and more efficient, but of course feel free to use whichever tool works best for you.
Good app. Could be better
This app has potential. I would work with it, but using an iPad, it cannot be used in landscape mode which is how my iPad is always docked on my keyboard setup. If you guys can update that, would make our lives easier.

Auf jeder Platte ist mindestens ein Schnitt, der gar nicht geht ohne in der halben Platte aufhören zu müssen mit dem Sägen. Bin ich nicht begeistert von. Da bringt es mir auch nichts wenn die so kostenlos ist.
Another monthly subscription model
I am so sick and tired of app developers trying to rope people into recurring monthly subscription fees. There is absolutely no reason that an incredibly basic app, such as this, shouldn’t be sold for a one time cost.
Good but limited.
Good for cutting from a single piece or type of stock. Wild be better if within a “project” you could specify different materials and thicknesses and map each part to a specific type. e.g.’ “Part 1: (3) 20”x15” from 1/2in birch plywood; Part 2: (2) 10” x 10” from 1/4 ply, etc…”
Could be better
I wish this app would let you manually arrange the pieces. While I appreciate it trying to be efficient, i would like to organize it my own way. I cut lots of foam so grain does not matter to me. I think this app is on the right track but lacks this feature.

I made a mistake and upgraded without realising that this is now a paid app and limited to just 3 projects/40 parts for free. It was perfectly usable before for one off projects once in a while. Can't downgrade, but I can find something else.
